hi, I would like to ask if the pizza at CBR is any good at all? Our oldest son is autistic and very finicky wrt food. Pizza is a staple and well...Disney does most things well - but pizza aint one of them. We stayed at POR and the pizza there was like cardboard, or maybe we caught them at an off time. How is the pizza at CBR? Believe it or not, this is a big deal, as my ds gets very out of sorts when hungry. TIA! Also - why are there not more places with grilled cheese sandwiches? It is bread and cheese for heaven's sake!

We stayed at the CBR in May and loved it. My kids ate the pizza and liked it very much but my husband and I thought the Pizza looked horrible but my kids are not that picky when it comes to pizza. I don't remember grilled cheese on the menu. My kids did like the chicken nuggets that came in the sand pail with a shovel and they took it to the beach and played with it. The best place where I saw pizza was at the Crystal Palace...they had pizza at the kids buffet and I thought that looked more like real pizza.

Have fun,

Loralie

We stayed at CBR in April and my kids HAD to order pizza just to have one of those carts drive up with it. Anyway, it really wasn't bad -- didn't look that great, but the whole thing disappeared quickly -- then again, my kids and I will eat anything.... I agree with the previous poster about the chicken nugget bucket -- that seemed to go over well, if he likes those. I don't remember seeing grilled cheese anywhere that we looked.

I am very picky about pizza too and IMHO there is no place in WDW that has what I consider good pizza.
Bring your own cheese and bread, toast the bread in the food court and then pop it in the microwave to melt it. Instant grilled cheese.

you may want to check around on some of the other boards (like the off-site boards) but i do believe that some of the pizza places in town will deliver... perhaps dominos? you may find pizza more to your son's liking that way...

also, there is a toaster and a microwave at the food court... you could easily toast some bread, slap a slice of cheese in it and nuke it for a few seconds to create your own grilled cheese...

oh, and i totally understand!

great minds think alike... we were posting at the same time (i'm not a copy cat! LOL!) :flower:

Maybe you could contact WDW for special needs and see if you could get what you want.

When my DD was 4 (now 21) she was cranky one night at dinner and the CM kept bringing out things from the kitchen trying to please her and none of it was on the menue :sunny:

Call on the 800# and ask around

thank you all so much, when we went in may, I based all our restaurants on what looked like fun. Big mistake, this time I am carefully choosing by the restaurant's menu to have a better shot at children actually eating! Thanks for the grill cheese suggestion ladies!Don't know why that never occured to me! Thank you all for responding!
