Pizza please

Since we don't know about which of the resort we will stay again either POP or POFQ: I would love to see pictures of Pop Pizza Delivery <pizza> or SASSAGOULA PIZZA EXPRESS <Pizza>
would you share your pictures please.
We have stayed at both resorts before but have never had the pizza
how was it. Did it take a while for delivery. Will they only delivery it to your room or can you have it deliver to the pool.
we won't be on the dining plan. Is their a window at either of the resorts where you can just order and pick it up yourself it at or do you have to call them to deliver it. Thank you.

I've found all of the pizza at the resorts counter service as well as park counter service restaurants to be ok but rather plain no frills pizza. We always skip this except if one of our kids wants pizza for lunch and we get an individual sized pizza.

The only places I know of to get really good pizza are Wolf Gang Pucks (Express or Table) in Downtown Disney or Via Napoli which is very good but over priced.

We always stay at POFQ and have ordered pizza from Flipper's several times. Much better than WDW pizza. They will deliver to the lobby.

There is a place to pick it up in the food court and I would recommend that option.

I know you said you're not on the dining plan but I'm sure there's a price difference. In terms of the dining plan it's 2 QS meals for a pizza, 2 drinks and desserts if you pick it up in the food court (and either eat it there or bring it back to your room) ON the other hand if you have it delivered it's 2 TS (which would translate into more money meal plan wise - so I suspect there's a delivery charge if they bring it to your room).

We got a pizza from the food court at POFQ when we stayed there. As the resort is so small I would think there was not much different to go and collect it versus order it and have it delivered.

I would say it was pretty good but as Huff said the best I have had on property was WGPE. Large pizza really fresh and good toppings. Via Napoli was not bad either but again expensive for what you get and I thought the WPE was better.

From the West side WGP you can get take away not sure about the market place one. But you would have to collect it and take it back to your resort.

Have stayed at POFQ several times and POP a couple of times. We have eaten at the food courts many times...have to say the pizza there is totally -meh-. Tasted like cheap frozen pizza (like Tombstone) Would not order it again... And the pizza is the same at all the Disney food courts. Some also have flatbreads but these are very hit & miss. Actually liked the flatbread at POP, but thought it was totally mediocre at Mara (AKL)

Via Napoli, i wouldn't order pizza at Disney....they don't make a good one. Try somewhere off site that delivers...Pizzaria Uno makes a good pie!

And just that it bears repeating, it seems that Disney can't seem to keep people from getting into even the resorts like BLT that are "supposedly" semi-restricted to on-residents, to slip those pizza fliers under your door. We had room service one night and the guy that delivered it noticed we had a few fliers on the floor (where we left them) and that some of them were illegal and to be careful. I told him we knew about the scams going on but thanked him for letting us know. sigh

DH and I love the pizza delivery service at CBR (Blue Runner Pizza). I would assume that its the same company so to speak it is just named something different for the different resorts, not sure though. But here is a pic from our last trip when we ordered in:

You have the option of purchasing a slice or taking out a whole Cheese, Pepperoni or Veggie Pizza. Plus for $1.50 extra per topping you can also add Mushrooms, Sausage, Onions, Black Olives, or extra Cheese when purchasing a whole Cheese or Pepperoni.

We also got delivery from Flippers - at OKW the first week in December. It was very good. They have a lot of options. We also ordered salads which were very good as well. We will order from them again.

I know that at POP, the pizza delivery service has a larger selection of pizzas than the food court - the food court just as pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza. I only wish that they would deliver after midnight. So many times we get back to our room after midnight and want a snack but nothing at the resort is open.
