Pizza Planet what is it like?

Looks like I'm in the minority here, but we thought it was terrible. The place was crazy and the pizza was not good. Typical Disney pizza. Even my kids did not like it.

OK...I feel the need to caveat expectations a bit:

The pizza is decent for frozen, mass produced, theme park pizza.

It is not good like good NYC pizza or anything from Pepe's (or Sally's, for that matter).

It's a neat place, though, and if you've got young kids, they'll be entertained!

My kids (7,5,1) love this place and my husband and I think it's fun too. We always try to eat before noon so we've never had an issue with seating and the upstairs is MUCH quieter than downstairs. The theme is cute and the food isn't bad. Fun choice for counter at DHS.

Oh you made me just want to make a trip down to New Haven for some pizza....mmmmm. Although i have to say i prefer Modern over Pepe's.

SACRELIDGE!!!

Where abouts are you in the State?

Manchester (near the Mall) and Uncasville (Mohegan) both have Pepe's now. Neither is as good as the New Haven original (thankfully, I work in New Haven....some days it's what makes my LONG commute worth it), but they're better than just about anything else.

Modern's good, but I'm a Pepe's guy.

There's a place up in Farmington/Bristol called Joey Garlics. It's not as good as "real" New Haven pizza, but it's a LOT closer to home (as opposed to work) and will do in a pinch.

Too funny! I have been to all three Pepe's locations...its good but not my fav. I am in Plainville so i know Joey Garlic's...only 5 minutes away! There is also a good one called Chunky Tomato's down rt 6 in Bristol. And Randy's Wooster St pizza(Southington and Manchester) is pretty good too.

Small, crowded, LOUD. peak times are horrific because of the seating issues. Personally I think the pizza there is just as bad as anywhere that isn't the flat breads (those are a smidge better), but my kids like the games and on't care much about the food.

We try and avoid it when possible. We try to avoid eating at DHS in general though.

I'm in minority also. I'm not a fan. I really hoped it was going to be like the movie and I was highly disappointed. It seemed kind of cheaply themed and it seems to be the same pizza as the "rest of the world"

Me and DD and what ever friend she brings with her love it, DH doesn't care for it, he says its just like ever other pizza and too crowded for him. But if you or the kids love Toy Story like we do it is a must. I agree with the OP that you need to go off dinning hours to be sure you get a table plus if your like me, the one who orders and brings the food to the table, then bring someone with you cause the walkway is tight and there is always someone who is sitting on the rails and won't get off for you. Have a great time!
