Hi Everyone!

I need an extra counter service in HS and would love to know what Pizza Planet is like. If you have been did you like it? I am curious is it another pizza joint or does it have some TS theme like the movie?

TIA guys:thumbsup2

They have arcade games and they play the Toy Story music.

There isn't a ton of seating though so we try to eat there at off times.

There is TS theme both inside and out and the pizza is good. There is seating outside as well.

Pizza and salad were good. I also liked the rice krispy treat Mickey. Go for it! :goodvibes

We really enjoy Pizza Planet and plan to eat there again on our next trip. The theming isn't overwhelming but it has some fun arcade games, the music and fun decor.

We always get the combo with the personal pizza, simple salad, and of course the mickey rice krispie treat!

That combo sounds pretty good, I bet the kids would like that, who can resist a Mickey treat ;)
Thanks for the input!:flower3:

I'm not sure what it is, but the pizza at Pizza Planet is better. It's always a must when we go to HS.

Tried it back in 2005 with my kids, now they are teens and my DS17 will be doing Dining with Imagineer for lunch so DD14 asked that the rest of us do Pizza Planet for lunch.. Its the only pizza we have planned for the trip, I rememer the pizza defanitely tasting better than it looked..LOL

This is one of your best options at HS. Food is not bad, good fun for the kiddies. Have fun!!!

One word comes to mind when I think of PP. CHAOS lol. It was NUTTY, jam packed full of peeps and tons of kiddies running around everywhere. The pizza seems no different that our resort pizza (I think that its all the same for CS in Disney for the most part). My kids enjoyed the arcade of course (gimmie more quarters mommy! be prepared lol). Would I go there to eat a nice CS meal? HECK no. I couldn't even get to the ordering counter even if I wanted to this time. That being said, depending on the ages of your boys I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it...just try to eat there at an off time and be prepared for madness ;)

Like other have already mentioned, the pizza is good (not the best but still edible) and there is an arcade downstairs near where you order your food. Be warned that your kids will beg you to play the games :lmao:. We haven't eaten here in a while only because we have been doing TS for lunch instead of CS. If you have never been, it is worth it to go.

My kids beg to come here.and try to win prizes on the machines. I was expecting something like from the movie but it is nothing like it unfortunately. Still it is decent food, kids like it and it has a lovely chicken salad.

We ate there in Sept. of 08 and it was a nice break. It wasn't crowded at all and the kids got to play a lot of games and they were cheap. Not sure what the prices are now. I was very surprised to see a lot of .25 games.

I love it, my husband hates it. The meatball sandwiches are really good but they put cheese other than mozzerella on them (i think the pizza too). My husband HATES cheese. But as a cheese and pizza lover I think it's really good! I can't wait to go during our next trip.

They have some minimal Toy Story theming inside, plus an arcade, and the characters on the building outside.

It looks nothing like the Pizza Planet in the film.

Personally, I really like their veggie pizza. Always get that with the small salad and rice krispy treat. Maybe because I get the veggie, rather than cheese or pepperoni which is ordered by most, but mine has always been fresh from the oven. They don't have them sitting around ready and waiting to be ordered, but bake them after ordered in my experience. I also really enjoy the Caprese salad. Convenient to take back to your resort room, if you leave around late afternoon, before they close.

It does get very hectic and loud inside. I always eat outside, close to the building and eaves, so in out of the every-afternoon-rain. I also go off hours, so not so bad. When any place has lines 20-30 deep, I always just wait until later to eat. I'm never going to pass out from hunger, but sometimes others get really crabby & think they HAVE TO EAT NOW OR WILL DIE!:rotfl:

I agree it doesn't much resemble the Pizza Planet from the movie, but as others have stated, there is some Toy Story theming and the arcade, etc.
Try to go when less crowded, so your kids can see more and enjoy more.

We love PP...like another poster mentioned it seems to be better pizza then Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom. We get there around 11 to beat the crowds. I don't think we will make it there this trip which stinks but you should definitely try it out!! :thumbsup2

Everytime I have been there there has been so many open tables. There is two levels of seatings. I feel like there is more tables there than most places actually.

Thanks for all the input, I am going to give it a go unless of course we can magically get a fantasmic package:lmao:

I think the boys will like it and it is are only pizza on the trip so we will enjoy, everyone was so helpful for lunch what about a QS dinner in HS? For some reason I have no idea, I will look around the boards but off the top of my head I am coming up blank. Last time we did Sci-Fi but for this particular day I am not using any table credits.

So we are off to pizza planet in 22 days woo-hoo!

It looks nothing like a chucky cheese or anything like that. It just looks like a standard quick service location with video games inside....pretty disappointing to me.

I guess you kinda 'have to' try it once. But, we always say..."friends don't let friends eat disney pizza." It is all mass produced now and is like a frozen grocery store pizza.

The exceptions: Get a slice of pizza at the walk up window at Via Napoli in Italy at Epcot if the kids want to try pizza (the pepperoni is spicey there. I recommend the plain cheese). Or go to Downtown Disney and get pizza at Wolfgang Puck express (also a quick service restaurant).
