Tell me about it. Is it like in the movie, or just an arcade that server pizza? Are the decorations similar? Are the games similar? Will preschool aged boys recognize it as being from the movie? Or will they just think it's like Chuck E Cheese? Thanks!!

i wish it was like in the movie!! The outside is adorable and has giant characters on the building, 3D giant ones. Then there is in-door and outdoor seating, there are games on the first floor and then stairs that go up to like a loft area which i think just has chairs. You go to get your food from a counter like any other quick service place. The games are standard arcade games, not whack an alien or the claw game, atleast when i was there.
You have to pay to play the games too. It's worth going to b/c it is a Toy Story restaurant however i felt dissapointed.. then again i bet kids would love it. It would be great if they did upgrade the games to be like the movie more, especially since more people will probably go there b/c of the movie.

Pizza Planet has always seemed incomplete to me without the giant claw machine from the movie!! But it's cute, kids will recognize the Toy Story characters.

Doesn't live up to the movie although I can't compare the food as I haven't eaten at the one from the movie.:rotfl2:

We have eaten there 3 or 4 times but I must admit the only reason is that DHS is a barren wasteland when it comes to CS dining.

Our kids love Pizza Planet at DHS!! My husband and I do not. While my husband, two older boys and I don't think it looks anything like Pizza Planet in the movie, the arcade games, giant Buzz Lightyear on the roof and Toy Story theming inside are enough for our pre-schooler!!

Two of our three boys like the pizza (and or oldest just doesn't like pizza anywhere) and my husband and I think it's pretty terrible. I haven't tried the caprese salad yet, so I'm hopeful that might save the place!

If you don't expect good food, and don't expect that it will be a replica of the movie restaurant, I would bet that most Toy Story-loving pre-schoolers will really enjoy this. I know ours does!

We eat there every year just because it is convenient and an easy CS, but I'm not real impressed with the theme, it is just pretty average - it is a good place to camp out and eat during a storm, though!

My kids love Pizza Planet, but I really didn't like the pizza there and the kids just wanted to play the arcade games. We may stop in for a drink and to play a few games this time around, but we will be getting lunch elsewhere.

It's not exactly the same. It's not like a Chuck E cheese (thank goodness) but they do have games (video, etc.) on the main level where you order your food and the majority of the tables are upstairs. The upstairs doesn't have any games but it does overlook the game area below. I personally like the pizza (veggie for me) and the whole wheat crust (it's soft and thick, not thin and crispy). But not everyone is enthusiastic about this place. If you/your family likes pizza, it's worth a trip to eat here. Of course, you can always visit the game area and not order food from here as well!
