The first night of our trip after flying all day thinking of just a pizza delivery. Is there anywhere that delivers at Bay Lake Towers?

We usually order from room service. Their pizza isn't that bad pricewise.

We always stay at CR and the room service was terrible when we tried:sick::sick::sick::sick: honestly the worst we've ever had, we couldn't eat it:sad:

Be careful about pizza delivery that advertises nearby. I heard that places were slipping ads under doors in the hotels, and they were scams. They were soliciting people's credit cards and never delivering. I can't remember the whole story, but I remember a lot of warnings about them.

Don't rely on any pizza flyers that may mysteriously land at your door. Check with the front desk for legitimate and recommended pizza outlets.

Unsolicited pizza flyers are a scam and hard-to-eradicate problem in the tourist areas of Orlando. But there are a number of reliable, quality delivery stores in the local area.

I called a place once that slid a flyer under the door. They insisted on a credit card and refused to accept cash.

It screamed "scam" to me. What kind of small business refuses cash, lol. Most would much rather receive cash.

I hung up and called the Olive Garden. It is what we really wanted, anyway. :)

I don't actually know if the deliver outside Celebration - but Upper Crust has wonderful Pizza!!

Flippers has great pizza and delivers. www.flipperspizzeria.com/ You can check out the menu and order online. They have a Lake Buena Vista/Disney location. FWIW we are NY pizza people and like Flippers :)

You can check with the front desk for other pizza places, I know there are Pizza Huts, Papa John's, Giordano's all in the area, but I am not sure if they deliver. If any of the national chains are your favorite, I recommend going online and checking out the nearest location to WDW. You could call them in advance of your trip and ask if they deliver.

At AKV we've had Giordanos, Papa Johns and Dominos. Probably more, but thats what Ican remember off hand. If you have a smart phone I'd just look to see whats available. We've gotten the list from concierge and it wasn't that helpful. I personally think delivery is kind of under used at wdw. Tons of places deliver and its much cheaper then eating at Disney.

One thing to remember about pizza delivery from an outside company is that you will have to meet them in the lobby. At BLT, this will mean meeting them in the CR lobby because of the restricted access at BLT. They aren't allowed to deliver to the room.

We have the typical pizza chains - Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns, Giordanos (deep dish), Flippers (NY style). They are pretty consistent if you're used to a particular chain.

Definitely don't use the flyers that appear under the door. I got the same one twice at WL a couple weeks ago, about a week apart. Supposedly some pizza place on South Orange Blossom Trail. That's a pretty seedy part of town and I wouldn't order a pizza from that part of town if I knew the flyer was legit - which these typically aren't. I really wish there was a way to restrict access to the room areas of the resorts and only have the public areas open to, well, the public.

Hmmm interesting couple of statements - they don't have access to the rooms to deliver but do have access to leave flyers? I understand BLT is supposed to be locked - but I don't see them having trouble getting directly to most other rooms.

OFF-SITE PIZZA DELIVERY, until about 3:00am:
1) Giordano’s, (407) 397-0044
2) Westgate Pizza Hut, (866) 438-2507
3) Papa John’s, (352) 243-1800
4) Flipper's Pizza, (407) 938-9633 (Best in our opinion)

OFF-SITE PIZZA DELIVERY TO RESORT ROOMS:
1) At Deluxe resorts, pizzas are delivered to Front Desk or Bellmen.
2) At other resorts, deliveries usually go to the room.
3) At DVC resorts, the deliveries almost always to the room.

DANGER-DANGER-DANGER:
1) You might find a pizza "flyer" under your door.
2) Do no under any circustances call them.
3) There have been scams for these.
. . . you call, order pizza, give credit card number.
. . . you don't get pizza, but they have your CC number.
. . . you find find fraudulent charges later.

Great information. Just what I was looking for. We just returned from SSR and got a daily flyer under the door. Thank goodness we didnt order pizza.
Thanks everyone

"Stealth" flyer delivery system. It's that kid with the backpack roaming the halls -- he's by himself, and doesn't look like he's on vacation...

No. They are not allowed to leave flyers under the doors. Most of the ones that do are the scam artists. There were even stories on the Today show about the "Orlando pizza scam" - you call to order and they only take credit card and then they never bring a pizza and charge up your credit card, or they bring a crappy frozen pizza just to seem legit so you don't think about the fact that your card is being charged up.

Reputable pizza places in the area know they are not allowed to flyer the rooms at WDW. If you do want to order pizza, stop by the concierge desk for menus from legit places. And yes, you will have to meet them in the lobby.

Good info, but the part about the delivery isn't correct. I am literally eating a Giordano's pizza right now at CBR. We had to meet them at Customs House to pick it up. Last night, Dominos knocked (loudly) on our door at 2:30am. The manager at CBR told us that pizza delivery is NOT allowed to goofy the rooms and the security person should not have allowed that to happen.

If you have ever had Chicago Style pizza, and are cool with that, then I would order Giordanos without a doubt. Pretty good for that style and a little goes a LONG way!:thumbsup2

I've also had Flippers and I feel it's comparable to Dominos and the likes.....slightly better perhaps. It's been awhile.
