Hi all! We'll be arriving at FWRgis Friday. Last time we found the pizza there to be expensive and not great. Anyone know a good pizza delivery that will deliver to FW?
I can't remember seeing any pizza delivery vehicles in the campground, so I can't help very much.
It's a shame that the pizza at Trails End used to be decent and so was the price (considering it was Disney), but apparently, those conditions have changed...and not for the better.
There are a number of very good pizza restaurants outside Disney property if a short commute isn't out of the question. Real Chicago style, New York style, standard delivery pizza, gourmet pizza, etc.
My DW and I now buy a rising crust frozen cheese pizza and "doctor" it with extra cheese and other toppings that we like and bake it in our toaster oven that we bring in our popup. It's really nice to have a freshly baked pizza and beer while sitting at the picnic table in our campsite. Especially during football season.
Like Bearikens, I too have never seen a pizza delivery vehicle inside the CG.
We found that making English Muffin pizzas quite good. Just put some Ragu/Contadina pizza sauce on a split EM and top with some pepperoni or cooked spicy/mild Italian sausage and Mozzarella/provolone. We even pre fry the IS so there is nothing to do but bake it when ready.
I pick up pizzas sometimes at the nearby papa johns location on south apopka vineland road. I order online then pick up its only 10 min fromthe fort entrance.
You can call them to see if they deliver. You may have to meet them at tbe checkin area. The pj we use is store #2882 and their number is 407 477 7777.
We buy the thin pre-made/baked pizza crusts from the store. Add pizza sauce and our favorite toppings and throw it on the grill. Yum-o. Just liked the brick oven baked pizzas we got in Italy. Fun and healthier for you.

While technically "on property" even taxis can get into the outpost area and what Bearikens and I were specifically referring to was in the actual CG. There is really no security or vehicle control until you enter the actual CG to control what vehicles get "On Property" as I thought the OP was wanting.

What a great idea. Are those the big crusts that are in the refridgerated section of the grocery stores with the holes in the crusts to let the heat through? That are sort of half baked already? I'd like to try this.
I agree with you on the Trails End Pizza....We did try the chicken dinner...it comes with chicken, coleslaw, steak fries and biscuits....it was pretty good! It is another take out option for you.

They are not refrigerated, but you might have seen them in that section. I've also seen them located on the aisle next to the pizza sauce. I've used Boboli brand and there are some others out there as well. Yes, they are "textured"...holes don't go all the way thru the crust though.
Our favorite is to put on the pizza sauce and top that with basil and mozzarella. So good. Sometimes we will add artichokes and/or olives. We really have gotten out of the habit of eating meat pizzas although sometimes I will put a little pepperoni on one.
