Pizza Delivery Question

As for the pizza that is delivered to your room.... is it any good or is it the same foul kind of stuff served at schools?

When we arrived at Coronado Springs this March, the food court was packed and we were tired and hungry, so I asked about pizza delivery. We were given the names and phone numbers of three pizza chains that would deliver to the lobby. (I didn't think about room service pizza). We called all three chains (Pizza Hut, Dominos and Papa Johns). It turned out Papa John's was the only one of the three that would deliver to Coronado Springs. They delivered it to the lobby and we ate it outside by the lake. Sorry this doesn't really answer your question, but I thought you might be interested in the option of having pizza delivered to your resort.

I am sometimes in the minority on these pizza threads, but I've always LOVED the room delivery pizza. It's really cheesy and a little greasy, which is just the way I like it. (Keep in mind I'm not a native Chicagoan or New Yorker, so my tastes probably aren't that sophisticated when it comes to pizza )

It indeed is cheesy, and a little greasy, and I will add that the crust is definitely premade (so they just top it and torch it), but all things considered, it was pretty tasty.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum, I guess. I like almost all pizzas - I have favorite types, but really, I like them all. The room service pizza was the worst pizza I've ever had - worse than school pizza, imho. Even DD won't eat it and that's saying a lot. LOL

I'm still looking for a great local place that will deliver NY-style pizza to the resorts. Last trip, we tried Giordano's after a lot of good reviews here on the DIS. I'd try them again for deep-dish pizza, but the thinner-crust pizza was mediocre at best, sadly. The way they made it, though, kind of suggested that they were deep-dish specialists who had just added the thinner pizza on to the menu. Plus, people have just raved about the deep-dish there.

I think the pizza may be different depending on which resort you are in. We order the room service pizza at the Polynesian on occasion, and it's not bad. Not the best I've ever had surely, but certainly better than "school pizza"!

(actually, my dd's school serves Godfathers, lol)

CBR pizza delivery is good. Its the same stuff in food court.
