Pizza Box Circle- Question on pg 36

I shipped the paper box today. DC 0103 8555 7490 8347 4115. It weighed 9.8 lbs.

I took 41 pages out and was thinking I was being all greedy until I counted how many I put in - 63. Some organization is going to be very happy and excited to receive all of that paper when we're all done.

My daughter and I would be interested in being added to the pizza box circle as well, if you are still adding people. We didn't learn about this until it had already started, so didn't sign up then, but since it's taken so long to get around, maybe you can still add us.

I don't see why you couldn't just keep it going in the circle because the first person hasn't seen what that last person has added to boxes, so it will still be a lot of new stuff each time it goes around.

I do work with a non-profit organization that has a thrift shop to help defray operating expenses. They would be very happy to have the leftover supplies to sell. The organization works on utilizing foods (about a million pounds a year) that would otherwise go to waste. If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you more info. If not, that's ok too. I would actually prefer that the circle keep going, but only if I'm allowed into it. :thumbsup2 It sounds like such fun.

Well we closed the circle since I routed the boxes from the East coast to West, back to me and then to the UK. We started the paper box in the middle so our UK friends wouldn't have to wait for ever.
I don't mind adding you to a list for next year. I figure if we keep it moving it should be back to me by Jan 2008, I know it sounds like a long ways off but it will be here before you know it.

When there comes a time for the boxes to go some where special, I have a few ideas already. One is a local camp here in CT called Hole in the Wall Gang, Paul Newman opened a camp here for kids going through cancer treatments. My family and I are regular contributors to Paul's camp so I am going to check into seeing if they need craft supplies. Here is a link to the site for anyone who is interested.

one of the other organizations is Girl Scouts, I know we have a lot of troupe leaders here and being a girl scout myself it is near and dear to my heart.

Thanks for the offer though Vicki, you can send me the info if you would like and then when we are finished with the boxes we can have a poll as to where it should go. Majority rules would be the fairest way to go.

Given the rate we all shop :lmao: I don't see why we can't start one every 6 months if someone is happy to organise

Buffy, The Hole in the wall gang camp is WONDERFUL!!!! Our quilt guild just delivered 985 homemade pillowcases for them to give to thier campers. What a great camp!! its beautiful and such a wonderful cause. It helps children and families affected by cancer. They said they are always looking for craft suppies too. My son and i are going to start collecting craft supplies for them.
If you havent been to the one in CT you should go on a tour!! They have camps all over the world.

I actually drive right past it on my way to my MIL's and have never been.
My parents have an open house and car show at our house every year and one of my dad's friends makes t-shirts for the party and we donate the proceeds of the sales to HITW.
I didn't realize they had more chapters, I thought it was just the one in CT.

I got the paper box today. I'm going to take it to the PO tomorrow to see which is the best way to get that sucker to the UK. I was happy to see that most of my original papers were gone!! YAY!
I took out 15 sheets. Yes only 15, hello who started this thing, like I need more paper!:rotfl2:

 I'm next for the embellishment box..... :yay:  :dance3: (happy dance)

Oh! I see the embellishment box is getting closer to me! Only 3 ahead of me!:cool1: I'm patiently waiting!

Mazda I got the boxed weighed today. It will cost $37 for me to ship it to you priority mail. I didn't have enough cash on me though so I will mail it this weekend. I thought that was pretty reasonable, first class would have been $52 which is what I was expecting.
Did you still want the cat's eye ink?

:scared1: That's a LOT - do you want me to send you something towards that?

I've sent AWM some money for cats eye ink with the boy/girl swap as I didn't realise the paper would be with me so quickly, but thank you for offering. I'm hoping it will be on sale in between me posting and her returning the swap :goodvibes

But thanks so much for the offer anyway.

:wizard: for the box to get here safely - I'm sooooo excited:yay: :cheer2:

for embellishments????? I'm getting antsy over here.. I cleaned my scrap room this weekend...and I weeded through some of my items.......I'm ready to add more to my collection!!!
