neat item... I got one a couple years ago for my DD who was 9.....
However I thought they were supposed to be making cartriges for older kids too which never happened so the item now is unused..... (shame cause I bought the case and everything)
My son had one when he was around 5. He didn't use it daily, but it was used enough. The problem he had was being left handed, the string that attached the stylus wasn't long enough, making it a bit difficult to use. They may have changed it since.
My DD loves hers and she is 8- she has the camera attatchment and she loves playing with that! I thought they came out with a new one this year? Just to let you know how much she used it- she had the original black and white one...then we bought her the color one- whe loves it. But it is definatly an artsy kind of toy. So if he is really into drawing he will like it.
I got one for my DD7 and son 5 last year and were boh played with lots. It comes with the artsy stuff but you can buy games for it. My brothers and sister were playing with it too and they are 15 and older my brother had to go out and buy his kids one the day after christmas. Highly recommended. Also GREAT for 3 year olds. I watch 2 3 year oldsand they played allsummer with it and never tired of it. I just haven't gotten new batteries for it.
