My daughters are obsessed with fairies. Their ages are 8-6. Any advice on how to maximize their Pixie Hollow experience? Any other ideas on ways to expose them to fairies?

I was there 3/19. I would recommend going in the morning as the line was not too bad, only about 25 mins. However, I only saw silvermist and tink there. Unless you ask a CM you might have to make more than one trip to see more than one/two fairies. Right before we entered tink when back into the house so, we only saw silvermist.

Other than that I would take other 'meeting character' advice with you.

We only saw 3 fairies there too. We got there right at opening (by chance, not by plan) and had about a 10 minute wait. We saw Tink and Terence and Iridessa. Pixie Hollow went very quickly, I thought that it would be bigger for some reason. We didn't see fairies anywhere else in the park, although once we saw Peter Pan being chased by Captain Hook in Fantasyland.
At the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, fairy dust runs through the mirror to light it up, that was a neat fairy touch.

That is the same thing I thought. I was surprised it was not bigger. You won't see fairies, besides Tink over the castle, anywhere else in the Park. There would be no way to explain their size. We also saw Pan hanging out by the Pixie Hollow entrance.

You can still walk through the Pixie Hollow area after the fairies are gone for the day as well. Kind of fun to look at all the little details. They also had a little colored fountain show that they were doing last summer (I'm not sure it is still running).

So do they not stay all day? When do they leave?

We've done it a few times. When it first opened DD10 wasn't really into fairies but we did it anyway. Luckily we saw 3 fairies but only because one (Silvermist) was leaving and Fawn was coming on. I asked them if we could get a picture with both of them and they quickly complied. Posed for about 15 sec. and then Silvermist was gone. So, be ready with your cameras and autograph books. You may need to be quick.

We also were there just as Tink went inside for a break. We were able to wait for her return. Then she was a little rushed and didn't even with the kids.:confused3

Next time it was better. Shorter line and more interaction. :goodvibes

It is a pretty short experience. Take time to look at the pixie houses, etc. that you can see while waiting in line.

To make it more special for your DDs maybe they could be ready with a few questions for the fairies. Hopefully it will lead to more interaction.

On our last visit when I took one of DD's friends along, they decide to see the fairies at the last minute. We didn't have our autograph books so they had the fairies sign their park maps. (That's what Tink is doing in the one photo)

Here's a few of our pix

Totally Tink attitude!

When I saw the fairies, I went when the parade was right by the castle, so the line was comparatively short (it was at the end of June after all). The theming was cute (better than PFF), and my 6 year old cousin liked it (although she was incredibly shy around the fairies), but there isn't much there. Our Tink was the best interaction, very spunky. Silvermist and Iridessa were the other fairies and they were ehn compared to Tink's interaction.

We saw Rosetta and also Tink with Terence. We had a great time with Tink and Terence. They spent a long time with DD. Terence said she looked like Tink's twin and DD loved that!
