What pixie dust has everyone had bestowed on them recently?

Example:
DH and I were at DL this past Friday.
We decided to get some ice cream on Main Street...I just wanted a single scoop, while DH was trying to convince me to get the big 'ol double-scoop hot fudge sundae in a waffle cone!

We were one more guest away from ordering when the people in front of us were given a big 'ol double-scoop hot fudge sundae in a waffle bowl by the staff...for free! It was made in error, and the staff didn't want to just throw it away...but the people they offered it to already had their order in and didn't need more...so, we got it! For Free! It even had the ice cream flavors we would have ordered!

Pixie Dust! pixiedust:

Anyone else have some fun pixie dust stories to tell? I love hearing about the Disney magic at work!

On our last trip a couple weeks ago, a super nice CM gave us a pass to use on any attraction. We were on Space Mtn for my DS4 first ride, then we headed to Splash (which had a huge line!) and used our pass for that and it was also DS4 first time on Splash! Lots of firsts that day. So fun!! And it totally made our day :thumbsup2

Also, not really pixie dust, but was still really awesome:

DS6 and DS4 are typically NOT character fans. They wave from a distance, but don't like meet n greets. On our last night we saw Pluto after the fireworks on BVS and both boys wanted to meet him. I was giddy because I had been waiting for this moment forever!!! We were the last people to see Pluto, and Pluto did not disappoint. He took tons of photos with the boys, gave them huge hugs, kisses, and high fives! The boys were on cloud nine and I was so happy their first character meet n greet was a very loving one! Needless to say, they plan on lots more meet n greets our next trip!

A while ago I did a ride swap with my sister, she went ahead and I stayed with my 2 year old niece and the CM at BTMRR was fantastic! He walked us up to the exit, gave her a future FP for Thunder and Indy (the you're not tall enough yet ones that I've only seen online!) as well as a readmit pass for any other ride. It was totally unexpected and we never ended up using the readmit pass but have great souvenirs!

When we were in DL in May, we stayed at PP. We had a standard room. The next day we were upgraded to one of the signature suites, the Huntington Suite. Was so wonderful!! That was major pixie dust.

The last time we were at the parks we went straight to TSM and my mom took my elder two kiddos to ride while I waited with the (then) sleeping smaller kids.

It took way longer for them to get through the line than I thought it would so I was craning my neck a little to see if I could spot them and a CM asked if I was looking for someone. I explained the situation and she chatted with my now awake two year old and then she gave us several baby swap tickets. One for each of my kids so that they could ride a couple times too instead of just one lucky kid and me.

Its my kids favourite ride that we honestly only hit once or twice a trip so it was such a highlight for them to be able to ride more than once that day.

We were chosen as the Big Kahuna Family once several years ago. I'm not sure if Paradise Pier still does this, but they would choose one family a day to be the Big Kahunas. We got an upgraded room, rice crispy treats, balloons and a souvenir frame with a picture of some of the characters.

It was an awesome trip!

Every time we go we seem to get something, big or small.

Our biggest was back during the 50th. We were sitting in front of the castle for fireworks. CM "Percy" was sitting waiting as well, he was off duty, his official job was the Guard to Mickey Mouse at his house. Once the FW began I was trying to videotape, my husband had one kid on his shoulders. "Percy" offered to hold my other child up. I was first concerned, but we were in tight quarters, he wasn't going anywhere and we had seen his badge while waiting. It was so nice and I was able to get the whole show. After, he rushed us over to the perfect spot at Fantasmic and stayed with us. Then asked if we would like to sit in the bullet of the monorail on our way back to DL Hotel. Which was totally cool. He told us to meet him at 1:00pm the next day by MM house and he would get us some special time with the main mouse. Yep, he followed through and we got about 10 minutes with the mouse all by ourselves. It was such an awesome experience. I believe it was a "Magic Moment" as they were giving away moments during the 50th everyday.

Other times if I take extra time to talk to CM I usually end up receiving extra fast passes for any ride in the park.

Most of our trip this upcoming weekend is Pixie Dust :cool1:

Guest Relations said they would offer us Fastpasses and fireworks viewing on our next trip when we complained last year about WDW screwing up our once-in-a-lifetime Premier APs. (Our cards stopped working at DLR after WDW "upgraded" them.) In our email we expressed a lot of gratitude to DLR CMs for helping us make the best of it. On the call telling us our passes were finally fixed, though, the Guest Relations CM said that instead of fastpasses they were giving us three free nights at the Grand Californian. And *then* when we finally booked the trip, we found out it was Disney Special Activities (i.e. VIP Services) pixie dust, and we had access to VIP viewing for everything for our entire trip, and a VIP concierge to make all of our reservations for us in advance. None of which we expected at all, at all, at all.

So, you know, always express gratitude and always be nice to CMs!!!

Whether big or small, our family always seems to get a little pixie dust each trip.
Several years ago, during the Year of a Million Dreams, we got "Dream Fastpasses" on our very first day there while exiting BTMRR. That was amazing! Another trip, we were eating diner at The PCH Grill and the restaurant manager came to our table to check on how we were and if we needed anything. He noticed that our kids each had a lanyard and one pin and asked if we did the pin trading. They told him not really yet, and he gave each of them a pin (all different ones) and told them that this would help them get started. That was cool (and started a new hobby......you should see their lanyards now....lol!). Another time, my daughter went on the water slide several times in a row at PPH pool area and the CM on duty gave her a really cool Hawaiian lei and told her she was "Surfer of the Day"! Made her trip.

There are so many other little things also along the way. The magic is there, sometimes it's just the extra kindness of the CM's or other guests offering to make extra room for your kids so they can get a better view of Fantasmic. It's a truly wonderful place and the magic is there, sometimes subtle, but always there!:wizard:

We had another one recently...my niece was carrying around her stuffed Cruella and we spotted Chip meeting all alone behind the omnibus with no line so we headed over and he LOVED the doll, and the fact that my 2 year old niece would not let it go! He then paraded us around to every single character meeting in town square to show off the doll, basically cutting for a few meets and getting waves from everyone else. Chip then went backstage to find Cruella and spent a few more minutes with my niece until she came out. It was a priceless moment, or rather 20 minutes!

Here's a collage of the characters:

Our last trip was our first time staying on property at the disneyland hotel. When we were checking in, the CM comped our parking as a wedding anniversary gift which was completely unexpected. Made for an amazing start to our trip.

Sunday was our last day in the parks and my son wanted to ride TSMM one more time before we left we got over there and the ride was 40 mins long, I was explaining to them that we could wait but it would be a long wait, they are not very patient, and we go to enter the line and the CM took us thru the exit and we got right on, also this trip my DD wanted one of those fans that spray water she asked for it all day long on our first day and I kept talking her out of wasting her money on it we go into a shop coming off Autopia and she started again at the check out that she really wanted it and I was explaining to her that they were a lot of money for her to spend on and was trying to get her to tell me what she would use it for after Disneyland, the CM at the checkout also was telling her that it would just break and that she could find better things to spend her money on so DD turns to put it up reluctantly and the CM ended up giving it to her, on the condition that she share with her brother DD was so excited

On Monday we were guest of the day at Disneyland. We all were asked to come in about 10 minutes before park opening. We had to yell "Let the memories begin" and lead the countdown. We were given buttons, fast passes and we were first in line to meet Anna and Elsa.

Today we returned to our room at a Disney hotel and my daughter has several new stuffed toys and Anna and Elsa dolls all arranged on the bed.

Amazing trip!

On our last trip in May last year we had a special moment courtesy of a CM.

I had taken then 6 year old DD on splash mountain and even though she was a bit worried about the ride so was so brave even on the big drop. The problem was we got unusually wet, so wet her shoes were squishy and filled with water and her clothes were soaked. She didn't like this at all and got a bit teary. The cast member at the exit noticed this and gave her a fast pass for any ride of her choosing. Her favorite at the time was Alice in Wonderland so she chose that.

It was so sweet of the CM and added some magic to our day.
