We have a room in one of the lodges booked at SL for our anniversary trip, and a week ago I emailed guest relations requesting a room near the main building. Tonight I rang SL to ask if they received my email, and spoke to a lovely man called Antonio (duty manager) who said that as it is a special occasion (I also told him about how we got engaged at DLP!) he has upgraded us to a Montana Room!

Last time we were at SL they made a mistake with our booking and as compensation they upgraded us to a honeymoon suite, so this is now my most magical hotel pixiedust: :cheer2: :tink:

Hooray I'm so excited and so glad I called!

I emailed and got a bag of chocolate coins in the room and that was it but I complained whilst I was there, the room was next to the small river/lake/puddle thing and the bedroom was swarming with mosquito's. We had to keep the window closed yet it was the hot period in mid July. We asked the hotel for some repellant and they just shrugged and said nothing they could do. So we complained further and got moved to a Montana room next door to the meet and greet and then given VIP fastpasses.

It may have been a bit of a silly thing to complain about but we couldnt sleep due to the bites and it was so hot. Due to the tiredness I was so annoyed by the customer service desk lady's attitude I lost it! lol
