Hello All ~ Emily just spent the past three days in hospital with pneumonia and chemistry-whack [that's my term for her blood tests coming back with freaky results]. She and I got home yesterday.

I am writing to you all with two requests.

1. General PIXIE DUST prayers!

2. It's Emily's 13th birthday tomorrow [Dec 5th, same as Walt Disney] and I'm putting together a book of "advice" and "well-wishes" as she enters her teens. It is the EMILY'S GODDESS 13th BIRTHDAY BOOK! [Em if you found this post....SURPRISE!]

Thanks all! Blessings, Sandra

:grouphug:

and my advice for the teen years - I shockingly learned that my parents were often a better judge of character of my new friends than I was. Don't disgard what they have to say and if they tell you you're not going out with so-and-so and so-and-so is a "loser", they're right.

:grouphug:

Remember, your parents have feelings too! They've done it before you and they know!

They aren't doing the thing just to give you a hard time!

Lots of PD and prayers. :grouphug:

As for 'advice' - I'll have to PM you. ;)

Lots of pixie dust!

Advice.... Don't sweat the small stuff. And remember your parents were teens at some point in their lives!

Hope she has a great birthday - it's my mom's birthday tomorrow too but she's got 50 yrs on your Emily!

Congrats Emily on your upcoming birthday! As a teenager we often forget how powerful 3 little words are! We said them all the time when we were little with lots of hugs and kisses! I sat down with my mom recently and got onto the conversation of when I was a teenager, and the one thing she said is that, we didn't say I love you enough!

Sandra, I had no idea Emily was so sick. :grouphug:

Happy Birthday Emily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY - obviously very special people like you and Walt Disney are born December 5th. We hope your teen years are magical. I have two pieces of advice which will mean more as you get older:
1. See the great things in the small. Making the everyday things special is what makes a fulfilling life.
2. What's in your heart, not things, is your treasure. When you have to choose, always invest in memories rather than stuff.
Get well soon, have a lovely birthday and remember how many people love you.
Much love from the Hall family (Tracey, Butch, Melissa, Elena & Samantha)

The 2 best pieces of advice I ever got were:

From my Mother: Don't get stressed out over things you have no control over.
From my Grandmother: Men are like buses, if you miss the first one another will come along in 15 minutes or so!:thumbsup2

:bday: Happy Birthday, Emily! :bday:
No advice, just lots of pixie dust, pixiedust: and wishes for the BEST year EVER!
