So we decide last minute to change our airfare and stay an extra day at WDW for our upcoming trip - President Week!!! Should be KAOS WEEK!

I call first thing check availability, I should have booked it right then and there, but I had to borrow, so didn't want to book until I had the airfare undercontrol!

Called and ended up spending an extra 500 bucks to change our flight! Whish is so stupid, I won't bore you with why we are staying, just some family problems, and grandmom NEEDS to see her grandkids so we added the day.


Well, I called back for the extra night, we are talking Feb 22!! not a weekend, well NO ROOM! NO STUDIO, 1 or 2 BEDROOM!!! not in any resort!! I knew it was a busy week, but I had no idea how busy!!! I was of course able to book a night cash in the two bedroom we are in for 560 a night plus tax!!!

Then I tried to book a cash night through CRO at any of the resorts, that May offer ME for Airtran? NOTHIN!!!! So I am waitlisted for every studio, 1 or 2 bedroom!! Hope something pops up!!!!

did you try booking the 1 night as a "pkg" thru WDTC (adding on 1 day base tix?)...

something may just pop up...it's worked for us before when everything is "sold out".

a TA may be able to work magic too (esp. AAA).

supposedly Expedia buys up blocks of rooms for prime dates too, not sure if it's an urban legend or not...perhaps give them a whirl?

It worked!!! I called MS this morning, advised them that I was one of those obnoxious owners that wanted to check there waitlist even though it was automatic, and guess what, they had a 1 bedroom at SSR for me!!! YEAH. So I cancelled all the other waitlists, and the room on cash for 558, my husband would have freaked if he had known i changed the airfare (550 extra) and paid 558+ for the extra night!! sure we have to move, but the CM seemed pretty hopefully that the 2 bedroom would come up, or if it was still available on cash, that the front desk would help out because its extra work for housekeeping to move people for one night, never thought of it that way!!!

So to all thanks for the PIXIE DUST!!!

Now - I must be a total DVC loser, I havent made a single PS, or planned a thing!! I think Imay just wing it and see what happens!!!

hey-you already know what happens if you decide to do anything last minute!! LOL Not any fun!1 what I would do is if there re any places you just ahve to eat at to call those places now just to put your mind at ease!! and congrats!!

LIFE IS GOOD!!! Just checked online, and my waitlist for next week came through! We don't have to move, YEAH! 2 bedroom for the entire week!
