Pixie Dust Please, We have lost our Dog**NEWS UPDATE POST 93**

Hope you get some good news about Spike soon Sue :hugs:

Sue and Vicki we were so sorry to read this report, we are sending all the :wizard: we can from this side of the pond that you find Spike soon. We are also sending tons of :grouphug: your way as well. I shared the news with Hazel and Angelina and they want you to know they are praying for Spikes safe return as well. Please keep us informed. If you feel the need to vent feel free to send me an e-mail.

Have you tried ringing around all the local vets. When my friend's cat went missing, someone found him injured and took him to the vet that they usually use. He was safe and well. The vet intended to keep him another day before sending him to the RSPCA

Hi Sue

I am so sorry to hear about Spike. I hope he comes home soon. Have you posted a few posters on some nearby lamp posts or houses? Fingers crossed for you and lots of pixie dust :wizard:

My DW was talking on the phone with Sue around 5:30pm Eastern time here in the States(10:30pm Wales time), as of then Spike was still missing.:sad1:

Andy nice to know that you thoughts are with Sue as well

We consider, Sue and Vicki, just like family, we are truly hurting for them right now. They are very special people!!!:flower3:

To Sue and Vicki,

I am so so sorry you are feeling this pain right now, I do know what you're going through. I feel terrible I didn't see this post until now but I have obviously been away from the boards for a few days, I am here now though and wanted to send you both :grouphug: that he returns hastily, all well and happy. The only thing I can think of is that no news is good news ( pathetic I know but often true)
Chin up and please let us know of any news,

im so sorry to hear spike is still missing:sad1: i hope you get some good news today

Sue, why not try making some 'LOST' posters and putting them up around the neighbourhood and at the supermarket/doctor's surgery, etc.

Andy:hug: So lovely to hear from Hazel last night, thank you xx.

Well guys another day dawns and nothing so far. I have been in touch with nearly every vet/animal shelter within a 3 mile radius, my goodness I didnt realise there were so many. Vicki has made posters and has put them up in the local shops and even our neighbours have them in the window. Matt - did'nt think about the Doctors Surgery but I have an appt there at 4.10 this afternoon, so I will ask if I can do that, thanks for the suggestion.:thumbsup2

I spoke to the dog warden this morning and he has told me the most likely outcome is that somebody has taken him in and not reported it. Some people keep them without ever reporting it and most do report it. Right now Vicki and I are hoping that he has been taken in by somebody even if they have not reported it, as long as he is fed and warm and safe, he's too much of a old guy to be out roaming.:sad1:

Cant thank you guys enough,  as always your the best,:grouphug: I will of course let you know anything as soon as I have any news.

We're keeping our fingers crossed as well that Spike is being well taken care of until he returns home, where he belongs!!!:flower3:

I really hope that Spike returns home soon and that somebody has taken him in so he is being fed and is keeping warm:grouphug:

Prayers are also needed for Sue herself. I just received an e-mail from Sue letting us know that she was sent home from work because she is feeling very badly and will be going to see the doctor this afternoon. Feel better real soon Sue!!!:flower3: :grouphug:

 for you Sue.
Hopefully Vicki's posters will be spotted by someone who knows where Spike is. Maybe an appeal in the local radio station might work

Just hear to give another  for you sue. Hope he turns up soon. :grouphug:

Hi

Oh Sue still no news. I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope he comes home soon. People do take strays in, well they think they are strays and think they are helping. Instead of phoning the local police or vets.

Fingers crossed for you someone will repsond to your posters.

Sue,

It's inconceivable that he's still wandering round, or even lying injured somewhere. Someone will have taken him in by now.

Make sure you keep on at the local vets though, as a dog that age is likely to be taken to one sooner than later, and it would be apparent if they had no record of him. Your own vet may be able to help spread the word.

Also, see if you can use www.doglost.co.uk which is a national database of lost dogs. There's some useful stuff on there.

If he's insured your insurers will usually give you financial help to offer rewards and to advertise.

I really do hope he turns up soon. Love Graeme XX
