Pixie Dust, Pineapples, & Plummits - a May 2011 TR - Updated 3/17/12

Oh my gosh! I just found your TR! June and July...and August were way too busy. :guilty: Anyway, I'm here now!

Sorry your trip got off to a rocky start, but so glad it got better! And awesome to get CL! :thumbsup2 We stayed CL for our honeymoon in Puerto Rico and I loved it! Would love to plan for CL at Disney someday, but we'll see if DH ever wants to fork up the cash.

Your outfits are soooo cute! How nice of your DH to agree to coordinate. Mine looks at me like I'm crazy when I mention it, but hopefully he'll feel different when we bring kids!

Reading your TR reminded me on so many things we forgot to do/missed out on this past trip! :sad2: I just hope to get another trip in soon! :wizard:

Can't wait to read more!popcorn::

Trust me, I understand - this summer got away from me! We have been back from Disney for over 3 months, I need to finish this trip report. But really, where has all the time gone?

CL was nice, but I'd never pay for it. Thanks! My DH is very cooperative and would wear anything that I asked him too... hmm, I need to post wedding pictures - that definitely proves it! I'm just blessed to have married a man who loves all things Disney & Disney World as much as I do.

I finally started reading your TR after you posted here, sorry it took me so long I can't believe your trip has come and gone and you've been back for a few weeks!! I can't wait to read your TR.

Anyway, that isn't what I came on to tell you LOL. On our first night of our 4th semester of nursing last week, my instructor was telling us how proud she is of us and how we're almost there. She played this video and you'll see why I love it. It is so perfect so I've been listening to it all night.

I'M ON MY WAY! Graduating means I'm one step closer to our next Disney vacation as well. I can't wait to spoil my brothers & parents and take them on an amazing getaway to Disney World!

I haven't seen Brother Bear for a long time, I might have to watch it on DVD in the next couple days. I have two brothers and I call them my brother bears :)

I'm really sorry about not updating this TR as often as I though I'd be able to. I'm hoping to finish it us soon, although I'm sure you don't believe me since I've been saying that a lot :rolleyes1

Congrats on being almost done with school! You are lucky your program is only two years! Up here you have to do a 4 year bachelor program to qualify for the RN exam.

More congratulations on your accomplishments! It's great to hear that you feel that nursing is what you were meant to do.

Nice update on your time at EPCOT. Your meal at Mexico looks fantastic! Good call on trying the Mexican sodas. I have had the pineapple one before. There is a grocery store near us that has a fairly large Latin American selection, and I saw a bottle of this and purchased it for lunch for when I was chaperoning a field trip with my son. Churros for dessert! SWEET!!!

Cute picture from Test Track. You look like the only one who is screaming.

Next time I do this with my family I want to do YMCA. One of us will do each of the letters.

I love that you tried to trick him with the Beverly.

Can't wait to hear where you are dining!

Okay, I just read your TR in one sitting! Can't wait to hear the rest :) We're staying at AKL for the 1st time Nov 29-Dec 9 and I'm surprising my DH, DS10 and DD(5). They think we are staying at POFQ, but I thought AKL would be so much more fun for us all, especially during the holidays. We've only been to DW one time and that was last December when it was FREEZING...and we're from MN, so we never thought FL would be the same temp!!! We stayed at Pop for 10 days and loved it there, but wanted an upgrade this time. I only paid for a pool view, but I'm sure it will be wonderful. Do you have any tips or suggestions regarding the resort for an AKL newbie? I made reservations at Jiko (just DH and I), Boma (breakfast and dinner), and Sanaa. I'd love to upgrade to CL, but I don't think the price increase would be in the budget. Okay, well I'm anxiously waiting for the next update! Thanks for all the details!!

thanks! This semester is so rough, I hope I survive. Best of luck to you in your program!!

Thank you! Hopefully being a nurse means more trips to Disney :rotfl: The soda was good but next time I think we could split one, we're not used to drinking soda! The churros were good but they were really sweet too. Overall a good meal, and I'd definitely eat there again. Since I know where the camera is, I try to make a face LOL. That would be cute if you did the YMCA!

Thanks for reading my TR! They will all LOVE AKL! It is amazing.CL was nice, but I don't think I'd ever pay extra for it. We bought refillable mugs but hardly used them since we could just run up to CL and grab drinks and snacks. The only restaurant we ate at was Boma which was amazing, so I definitely recommend that one. I wish we could've eaten at the other 2. My advice is to take time to spend at the resort, there is so much to see and do there. We were so go go go the whole time I don't think we enjoyed the resort as much as if we had slowed down and spent more time relaxing there.

Congratulations on being so close to your degree!

Your leisurely dinner at Y&Y sounds great... we had lunch there last year, and I had the Crispy Honey Chicken, too!

Thank you. I still cannot believe how fast the time has gone. When we first started (January 2010) the 4th semester students told us how fast it goes and I didn't believe it... and here I am!

The crispy honey chicken was sooo good! I'd love to have those friend won tons again right now... yum!

I would love to try Yak and Yeti one day. I always seem to drop it for Tuskerhouse breakfast, plus I want to try Tuskerhouse for lunch. One day I will make it there. I love that you had dinner right when the park closed. That is a good idea although we always seem to leave AK at noonish.

Congrats on starting the fourth semester. We had 4 semesters for our radiography program and to tell you the truth I don't remember anything about that last semester since it went by so quick.

I hope your DH gets his hot tub one day. We are hoping to move in a few years and all I care about is having either a pool or room to put a pool. Oh, and lots of closet space.

It was really cool being there until park close. It was also nice going back to the hotel and relaxing. I hope my 4th semester is the same way. In 8 weeks I take my last final, and in 12 weeks I graduate - eek!

I hope he gets his hot tub too, because I want one! I also dream of closet space or storage space. Our house is small, but it's just the two of us. I love it, it's just small. I'd love to have a master bedroom with a walk in closet and a giant bathroom with a huge tub like you had on our last night at the BC. Some day!

Wow, that was a mega update!

It is always a bit annoying when you are running behind schedule and things just don't seem to be going your way. You guys turned things around though and it sounds like you had a really great last day!

I loved the Animation Academy drawings. :thumbsup2

You traded Dole Whips for Small World?! :lmao:

I enjoyed following along on your TR. Best of luck finishing school and starting your family! :goodvibes
