Thank you so much everyone.Sorry for the delay but i never got home until 5pm,then had to sort out girls dinner,girls baths,homework etc..out.

Well Nan was given the all clear.Her blood tests+her scan showed that there was nothing wrong with her liver,cirrohsis,hepatitis etc.. .
BUT from what Nan has said today with the tenderness in her stomach she gets,an upset stomach/sickness at least once a week,constant sore throats,weak appetite the Doctor believes there is something going on.Nan has had to have advanced blood tests today to check for Liver Autoimmune(her immune system attacking her liver for whatever reason) and very rare Liver illnesses/diseases .
Was told to book a 6week return appt,but theres nothing until 30th December-which we accepted.
So as much as we are estatic that Nan was given the all clear-we are now thinking she could have some rare Liver illness that does'nt show up on the normal blood tests.

Doctor is also sending a letter to her own GP about seeing an Elderley Care Nurse which Nan was deffinatley not happy about.As the Dr noticed Nan's memory+wondered why she had to keep on asking Grandad for all the answers.Well Grandad saw his chance(as we are worried about her memory-although earlier this year she was tested for dementia+it was negative+was told it was due to her age)and spoke up+said that her memory was really bad+has been getting worse the last year.Well Nan blew her top,but i am glad Grandad did what he did+i know it does'nt sound nice but by tomorrow or the next day she won't remember .
He mentioned Agressive Ageing(i think)about losing her memory rapidly, i can't find anything about this-does anyone know what it means or is???.Is it different to dementia/alchzeimers???.

just hope they can find out what is wrong and be able to get it treated/sorted.

Michelle , Im pleased to hear your Nans blood tests were clear but it sounds as though you still have a long way to go - is there no way you could get her appointment a little earlier. Im very proud of your Grandad for speaking up it couldnt have been easy for him but all angles need to be explored.

Try to get a good nighs sleep to night - I know it wont be easy bet try not to worry. I sent you a PM earlier as I was worries and no I didnt mint you replying on your thread - no point repeating yourself.

Yes,i am very proud of my Grandad for taking the chance to say something.He did get an ear-bashing last night but he just explained to Nan-that we tell the Dr the truth for her own well-being and because we love her .

I also slept soundly last night -so it must have been a weight off of my mind.

Me+Grandad said today,we know that it a long while to wait for the results,but we can look forward to Christmas (which we celebrate hugely all together)and then get the results after.

Karen,i tried yesterday to get an earlier appt by saying that come Christmas this will have been going on for a year but the receptionist would'nt budge-just kept saying there's nothing till 30th Dec or if you don't want that-you can have 28th Jan .
As for Sam his appointment is 2pm and i will post an update on his thread once i am back and sorted out the girls etc..x.
