So, in the World now, with my grandmother and a couple other family members to celebrate her 80th birthday and things are going so well. We were treated to a magical moment yesterday at the USA pavilion in Epcot. We were grabbing a QS dinner and they pulled us out of line and seated up at a nice little table with a centerpiece and tablecloth and served us our food and drinks on real plates, with silverware and everything. It was so sweet! And then, we watched the show/film there in the pavilion and on the way out, one of the cast members stopped my grandmother and said she had a phone call. We were so confused, but he handed her the phone and it was goofy, wishing her a happy birthday.

Both so simple things, but the moments and thoughts were so thrilling. They don't know this, but my grandmother suffers so badly from depression and it is so hard to make her feel happy. But the smiles they have brought out of her are bigger and brighter than any smile I have seen out of her in years.

Bravo Disney and the fantastic cast members they hire and allow to work such magic.

Very very nice to hear this. Glad it was wonderful for you guys and I really hope Disney never lose their magic.

AMAZING! I love this. I have had a really rough week and this story just perked me up so much. Thank you for sharing this! :lovestruc

See, I think too many folks think that pixie dust is meant for all of us on every trip and on every day....but really it's for special celebrations like your Grandmother's and for special times when you didn't see it coming.

It made me happy to read that the pixie dust made it where it was needed and appreciated the most!

When I am down there, I just enjoy each moment as it comes with no expectations. I think some of us have forgotten to do just that.

Love!!! Thanks for sharing!! See I love good deeds and those who try to do the right thing-And Disney is very good at it!

Love pixie dust stories. It's always the little touches that mean so much. Thanks for sharing OP :-D

exactly -- gotta be careful now or people will start complaining they didn't get to eat THEIR lunch with real plates and silverwear..

We saw that happen at the Inn when we were there first week of May. The family was already seated, but we couldn't imagine what was going on with the table settings. :-) Figured maybe they were some family of the day or something.
Nice things do happen.

Thank you so much for sharing. It brings tears in my eyes.

I know there are many people who are disappointed with Disney in the recent years. However, magical moments like this one are priceless and Disney make them happen day after day. That's the reason I go back every year. I
