I have 6 months until our trip. Group is all adult women - celebrating birthdays, catching up as we are college friends that now live all over, and Easter by virtue of when we are traveling.

So excited so needing to channel it into something. Thinking about touches of pixie dust that I can work on like door decorations, items from dollar store, etc. we have one new wdw attendee and two vets another that is in between. I'm the planner so the schedule is in my hands. Suggestions?

You could buy everyone headbands with Mickey/Minnie ears, there are some on amazon & etsy or you can make your own. Or you could get everyone tiaras.

My bestie and I just went for a weekend a couple of weeks ago - it was such a blast! I got us matching "Best Day Ever" shirts (in a Disney-ish font with some Mickey ears on there) from Etsy. I also ordered us magic bands with our favorite characters on them.

ETA: but best of all I got us FOP FPs :)

Check the cake chatter threads about ordering a custom cake delivered to your room.

Keep the ideas coming! I love the shirts just got some on etsy that say rope drop to happily ever after day! Still looking on ears - thinking maybe will do one little thing each day. I found fairy wands that glow at the dollar store for another day.

Somethings super cheap but fun and practical... I personally hate walking barefoot on hotel carpets... and don't want to put on socks every time I'm in the room.... so I bought DD and myself some cheap white slide in slippers from dollar store, and decorated with Disney stickers. Thought about fabric paint and all that, but wasn't sure how that would turn out... and the stickers actually stick very well and are super cute. I put like 5/6 stickers on each slipper (Mickey/Minnie for me, Pooh characters for her). Then when trip is over we can toss them since space is always a premium on the return packing. They are cheap slippers not meant to last super long so no guilt over not keeping.

A couple of years ago I went with three girlfriends and one of the gals bought us all Minnie Mouse gloves. We wore them all the time. We received so many comments from people and were actually given special treatment on occasion. When we would get separated from each other all we had to do was raise one hand in the crowd and we could spot each other. Have fun!

Love it! Flip flops in our future - we all bring them for in the room and at the pool - great idea on the slippers. I did use the fairy wands one year for the crowds - we put the tallest in the lead and just said if you don't see us in the exit crush raise the wand. Worked great and had forgot about how valuable that is with adults when a little separation is no cause for worry.

I always make bags for our trip (and so as it doesn't feel weird I do one for myself also): typically a shirt for one matching day, pins for trading (check the clearance section or wait for a great sale at Disney store - can be person specific to make it more special), a favorite candy or snack (we drive down so these are for in the car), usually chunk in a hand sanitizer (bath and body works semi annual sale for this) and then keep an eye out at the stores for something seasonal Disney. All of this goes in a reusable shopping bag and that bag is the drop off center for all the goodies we get while we are in the parks.

It's a great way to make friends/family feel special and also keep room organized - have fun and make certain to get I'm celebrating Girls Trips buttons. Also when you are going you may find limited edition Spring Break trading pins.

Was going to say matching Tshirts, but I love the tote idea!!! Would totally use those later. Flip flop idea is awesome too. Before MagicBands, I'd have said lanyards. How about those small fans (prob around $5) you can hang around your neck? Or cooling towels?

Hope y'all have a great trip!! Sounds like a total blast!

Whenever we have a trip planned, I always e-mail my family or traveling group a Disney photo (google images)countdown via e-mail. I do 7,6,5,4,3,2, 1 months and when we get down to 10 days I do a photo everyday!
