Pixie dust AP question

We recently purchased a home in Florida, and are interested in the Pixie Dust pass. We are aware of the blackout dates etc. We will probably add on the water parks and sports option to use on those dates. My question is this- Can we purchase the pass, prove our Florida residency next week at the end of our trip,and not use them until our next trip a month later? So that the expiration will be in June, as opposed to May when we actual purchase and prove our eligibility?

I was pretty sure that would be how it works, but wanted to double check that the process of purchasing will not activate it? Thanks for any help.
