I was listening to an interview with the man who just made and is releasing the latest Bengi movie. He decided to do it all himself in order to have complete control.

He said All the major studios wanted complete control so they could insert 4 letter words etc.


He said after scouting all the studios it was discovered the only company that is producing true family oriented movies with excellent stories is PIXAR.

When I heard that comment I felt maybe Steve Jobs wouldn't be a bad thing after all.

Word of caution on Jobs.

He does tend to change things in a big way.

Remember his first big act when he got Apple back? He brought out the iMac. It worked and was absolutely superb as a product, head and shoulders above the rest, but it changed the company and it's morals forever.

What if he were to get Disney and change film production over to manga style? It'd possibly work, seems like a Jobs thing to do, but it would be a very different Disney...

Please site an example of Apple's changed morals.

I think you will be hard pressed to do so.

Not morals, style. iMac was see through ice blue and white, an all in one design with no standard ports. No more beige. Ever since then, every Apple computer has been pitched as a designer piece of kit rather than, as had been done traditionally, as a powerhouse (my iBook runs at 900MHz - the same as a 1,500MHz Pentium 4).

The morals didn't change but the style certainly did - Disney, under Jobs, may retain it's morals but the style may change (for instance, film production to dabble in Japanese manga).

You just never know.
