Hi, first time DVC stay here. We are staying at Old Key West and I see they don't offer babysitting services directly at the resort but I've heard good things about Kids Nite Out. Has anyone ever used them? I also see they have another option Pixar Play Zone... has anyone used this? My kids are 5, 7, 9 and 13. At home we sometime let the 13 year old watch them for very short errands but I think they would have more fun doing something. I already feel guilty enough even leaving them with a sitter for a few hours. But I saw online that the in room sitters from Kid's Nite Out bring activities and games to play with the kids. And the price really isn't too bad. We were just thinking of doing Universal's Horror Nights during our stay but we absolutely wouldn't want to take the kids. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

We were just there and walked by it and I had no idea what it was!! I wish we has checked it out!

It looks really cool online. It's a bit more pricey than Kids Nite Out and I think my oldest might be a little bored with it since she's 13 but I would allow her to stay at the room by herself and just watch movies while the littles went here if that's what we decided to do. And then we would just get our cab from the Contemporary to Universal. I'm wondering if anyone has used it yet and how they liked it....

We’ve done both the kids club places (Simbas Clubhouse) and Kids Night Out. The sitter we got for Kids Night Out was great with my son. She was grandmother age and super sweet and they laughed and laughed all night long. Kids Night Out chaperones can’t take kids swimming, but she took my son to the BWV community center and to dinner to get a pizza. I would definitely wouldn’t hesitate to go with Kids Night Out again, especially with four kids. The other bonus for kids night out, is you can stay as long as you want at Universal. At Pixar Place you would have to make sure to be back in time to pick up the kids, and they would be tired and grouchy the next day. Kids night out can have them all tucked in bed at a reasonable hour, and you can relax and enjoy your evening with no strict time limit.

You could make their night special by letting the kids pick out their favorite treat, and then the chaperone could take them to watch the movie that will be playing outside somewhere.

Great points about the timing and them being able to go to bed while we were out. They might be tired from the day and want to just rest anyway. I'm fine with the no swimming because I wouldn't feel comfortable with that anyway but there is plenty of other things to do at our resort that they could do. Thanks so much for your input!!
