Yahoo! has an article about Pixar's upcoming plans. They mention a new film planned for 2006 about a rat in an upscale restaurant. No title or other story points are available.

The article also discusses the Disney/Pixar relationship, stating:
Pixar can enter into an agreement with anyone, including renewing with Disney, after delivering a third original film. That picture, "Finding Nemo," bows in May, but it likely will be delivered to the Mouse House sometime in February or March.
Yahoo! also says that analysts are expecting Pixar to renew with Disney, and to only receive "a few financial gains in a new contract."

Time will tell.

PS. The release schedule seems to be:
May 2003 - Finding Nemo
2004 - The Incredibles
2005 - Cars
2006 - Unnamed film about a rat & restaurant

Analysts also expected DCA to be another big hit for Disney, and an example of how disney "has this down".

But I agree, only time will tell.

2006 - Unnamed film about a rat & restaurant
Hmmm. A rat? We'll see, but it takes a lot to make a rat appealing to people. That's why they usually go with a mouse. Mickey, Jerry, Mighty, Stuart Little, etc.

There is Rizzo the Rat, so maybe...

Might this rat represent something more than a furry vermin? Perhaps their feelings towards Disney? Just supposing...

I love Rizzo the Rat!!!
And i think in this situation Pixar has everything to gain and nothing to lose and disney is the one who will lose anda nd beg for Pixar to stay as disney's movies have paled in comparsion to Pixar!!!

The log line that’s been put out to announce the sale of the script says “A rodent has various adventures in an upscale restaurant.” It written by Emily Cook and Kathy Greenberg. I can’t find any other films credited to them as screenwriters.

It is very telling that Pixar is now being so public about their post-Disney projects.
