Anyone know if there is still a microwave to use in the sketch pad cafe? I know when jt was paradise pier, they had a microwave in the old cafe for use. Thanks!!

I did not notice if there was a microwave in the cafe. However, we did request a microwave from the front desk for our room, and a cast member had it up there in a matter of minutes. There was not a ton of counter space for it, but we were happy to have it.
I know that is not what you asked, but I hope the information might be helpful to you or someone else anyway.

Do you happen to know if there are ice machines on each floor still? We make our own Starbucks copy cat drinks in the room and will need ice. Lol. Thank you!!!

Not sure about that, but for what it is worth, the hotel map we were given showed that there were “Vending Rooms” on floors 3-14.

Yes, we saw him twice when we were there last month. He is a lot of fun, and he really likes it if you are carrying a bag of candy.

I've been checking to try and get a standard room at the summer discount price and today was the day! Of course still much more than the room deal I snagged at HOJO- but I what can I say in the now 10 years of Disney love AND someone who travels a lot for work- I've turned a bit into hotel snob. The hojo is absolutely fine, but I did last summer have a not so great experience at castle in and walking harbor as a single female so I've decided the $$ is worth it.

Anyway! This will be a new Disney hotel for me. Is the private entrance open for early entry? Best route for Disneyland park early entry?

Of course still much more than the room deal I snagged at HOJO- but I what can I say in the now 10 years of Disney love AND someone who travels a lot for work- I've turned a bit into hotel snob. The hojo is absolutely fine, but I did last summer have a not so great experience at castle in and walking harbor as a single female so I've decided the $$ is worth it.

Anyway! This will be a new Disney hotel for me. Is the private entrance open for early entry? Best route for Disneyland park early entry?

Woohoo! That's exciting! We used the Pixar Place entrance last year for early entry and it worked out great. Not sure if it was an anomaly, but there were only a few folks in front of us (got there around 7). Once security opened we breezed through. The only thing I messed up on is we wanted to do Guardians first, and we pretty much lost our lead from having to walk all the way to the back of the park.

I would personally do the main DCA gates if Guardians is a priority with little wait. From that entrance you just turn the corner to get to Hollywood land and can board much quicker. We have been among the first guests to ride that way, and were easily able to sneak in another ride before EE was done.

The GCH pedestrian gate seems to take any onsite key, but I was just there in February and was asked by a security CM to show our room keys (before security opened...but we were GCH guests at the time so not sure what they would do if it were another onsite hotel). I think they are getting a bit tighter with that entrance for EE.

Congratulations! Those standard sale rates are so great I've been tempted to switch from DLH but I'm scared of the elevators lol. The new rooms look SO cute. Have a great trip!

It was not open as recently as June 1. We had to use the GCH entrance that lets you in near Grizzly Peak.

Yes, as far as I know they still have bathrobes...hopefully someone who has stayed recently can confirm.

I believe it is closed until "mid-June" according to Disney, so hopefully they should be wrapping up soon.
