Pixar Pier question

I am familiar with how WDW works on new attractions, areas, etc. Where they will do trial runs, AP previews, etc. before the official opening date of something new. Does DL do the same? We will be in DL a month prior to the official June 23rd opening date and was wondering if there "could" be a soft opening.

I understand it is a guess was just asking based on past experiences.

I sincerely doubt that any soft opening would possibly occur a month early. A couple of days? Maybe. But not a whole month.

Not that far in advance. Maybe a week early. Often only for APs. But last few years they haven't done them.

Yeah, I've never seen something like that a whole month early. And it's hard to say if they'll even do soft openings or AP previews anymore because when they opened GotG they made early access a paid ticketed event and it seemed to be a success, so if they take that idea and run with it then the days of free previews might be gone.

GotG special event was sold out, so it seems likely Pixar Pier will also have a paid pre-opening.
