Just wanted to get some advice on some good places to sit & watch the Pixar Parade. Also, how early do we need to find a seat? We are going on Thursday May 8th & hoping it will not be to crowded. Also, anyone have a good suggestion on what ride or rides to hit first in the morning to avoid crowds. I have a DD3 so we are all about the characters & kid rides. Thanks!

Both times we went to see the PPP it was cancelled. Once because of the rain and another, yesterday's, due to "unforseen cicumstances." But when we were there, we asked some of the CMs and they said the other side of the winery (facing the bugs life) is a good spot & has hhade in the late afternoon. Hope you get to see it!

Darkbeer over on MP is reporting that the Pixar Play parade is currently down for a few days because one of the Bug's Life floats broke apart during a parade. They are keeping the entire parade down until it is fixed. No report of what day it will start again.

Thanks for the info! I hope in May it is up & running & not canceled! Any more info on good rides to hit first with a DD3 would be great! Thanks!

Will your DD be 40" tall? If so, then Soarin' might be a good choice- if she doesn't want to go, get FP and ask the CM to give you a child swap pass. That way both adults get to ride it, and if you have any other kids they get to go twice (once with each of you!).

Other rides in DCA I'd recommend are everything in Bug's Land... Monsters Inc...Turtle Talk with Crush. She'll probably also like the Brother Bear show at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail (and all the ropes and things to play on are a great break when she is tired of lines!). I don't know if the effects in Muppets 3D will scare her, but that one is fun too. I'm sure there's more but I can't think right now.

Have fun! Ask away. 3 is a magical age to bring kids to Disney!:goodvibes

You should definitely do the Playhouse Disney LIVE show. My kids were 2 and 3 the the last time we went and they LOVED it.

Yes, we have done Muppets at Disneyworld & she liked that allot! Thanks so much for the info. I only have one DD3 & she will be just at 40 inches so I was a little worried about doing soarin. Does the Bug part open the same time as the Park? Should I go there first maybe if I do not decide to do soarin?

I have a couple more questions about this parade. How long does it last about & how early should I find my seat if I attend on May 8th? Also, how early do I need to arrive for Aladdin & Playhouse Disney?

We were there during busy spring break. We sat right in the sunwheel hub area. I asked a CM when I should stake out my spot and she told me 45 min early (but again, busy time to be there). There was a white rope put out... but that was the rope to keep a walk way... you could sit on the ground right up to a thin white cement line in the pavement. Ask any CM... they will tell you. We sat and people watched to hold our spot, it really was not a big deal... the kids needed a break anyway ;) The parade was canceled several times during our trip, so be sure to keep an eye on that. It felt it was a fairly short parade and was not my favorite DL parade... but the kids wanted to see Lightning and Mater, so we went ;)

For Aladdin we showed up about 15 min to showtime and were one of the last people to be allowed into the mezanine line. This was the line suggested to me by many the many CM's I asked about the Aladdin show. Even though we were at the end of the line, we got decent seats about 10 rows up from the ledge. We had a prime carpet flying view... which my daughter loved. I suggest to sit at that level and when you walk into the theater... go straight and then head down to the right when you see less crowds. A lot of folks when to the right when walking in and got crummy seats where it was more crowded.
The Aladdin show was one of our favorites  I highly recommend it!

Thanks so much for the info! It will be great help! My daughter is all about the characters. Is there any tips you might have that can help me find them. Everyone keeps telling me that I need to just check the guide when I arrive. But, I am all about having everything planned out before I get there. We do Disney World every year & it is so much easier to plan. I am having more trouble with DL. Thanks again for all your help!
