Pixar Concert Dining Package vs. Show Standby

Hi everyone!

I currently have the HBD Pixar Concert dining package booked for August 26 at HBD, but I'm wondering if I really need the package? What are standby waits like? We could go to any of the shows (5 pm, 6:30 pm or 7:45 pm) I realized if we eat at HBD without the package (there's still availability to switch our ADR over), I can use our AP discount, but don't mind paying full price for the package if it will minimize wait times.

Same advice I give for any dining package..If you're ALREADY planning at eating at one of the restaurants, then do the dining package. But if you really don't want to eat at one of the restaurants and are mainly only doing so for the dining package, then don't do it.

You don't need the dining package to see the Pixar show. You'd be fine showing up 15/20 min ahead of time and still getting good seats. If you want up front I'd aim to get there about 30 min ahead.

I saw it about 2 months ago and easily got a seat about 2 min before it started

Thanks so much! Yes, we'll eat at HBD anyway, but realized I could save some money by using the AP discount for the meal (which I can't do for the package) and then watching the show standby. I just don't want an incredibly long standby time (which it sounds like it won't have) and am willing to pay the package upcharge with no discount to avoid waits. I'll crunch the numbers and make a decision. Thanks!
