Pixar Carousel Theme

Heard from CM that the new carousel characters on Pixar Pier (replacing King Triton) will be the prizes you can win on Midway Mania. The white rabbit, the beaver, the cat, etc...
I wasn’t too impressed with that idea, but DS thought it was awesome, so maybe the kids will love that concept? Anyone else heard the same info?

I'd be rather disappointed with this. It would be ok but would much rather have a pixar movie themed.

Yeah, that’s disappointing if that’s the case. If they are going through the trouble of retheming the land, at least ya know, make things match the theme.

I don't see it being Toy Story, I could see a Finding Nemo/Dory theme though.

Are you talking about the ride TSMM? I've been on it several times and don't even know what you are talking about.... so yeah, it would be lost on me. Apparently I'm not that observant.

At the end of TSMM when you get your final score it goes up a scale with various animals like the PP mentioned. See example below in which DD6 is armadillo and I am a beaver.

I am sure you're not the only one who this would be lost on and I think it's a terrible idea as well. Hopefully just unfounded CM gossip

Until Disney announces it I'd not consider this fact - CMs give false information about 50% of the time from my experience.

Hahaha! I've only looked at the numbers - my score and accuracy! I have never noticed the animal. I hope this isn't true.

I really hope that isn't true. Even if those animals are part of TSMM it doesn't seem Pixar to me at all. I would be baffled and would seriously question who is calling the shots if that is the best they could come up with. Blah.

Is the carousel supposed to reopen this summer with the rest of Pixar Pier? I don’t remember seeing any info on it.

In the concept art they show Jessie outside the carousel with a big rope. And there are supposed to be 4 neighborhoods. The first is Incredibles, the second is Toy Story, the third is a mix, and the fourth is Inside Out. The carousel is between Incredibles and Toy Story neighborhoods so it should be themed to one or the other, and since Jessie was in the concept art I assumed Toy Story. It would have worked to keep the sea theme and say it was Finding Nemo, but then they came up with the neighborhood thing.
