Is your pup part Basenji?

Could be. Her mother was one half border collie. I did her DNA and it came up 1/4 border collie, 1/8 Labrador retriever, 1/8 Doberman, 1/8 pit bull, 1/8 Rottweiler and the remainder was “assorted protective breeds”. She has a bark that reminds me of a Basenji...kind of a trill rather than a bark or howl.
