Pittsburgh to Orlando cheaper than $79.00

Has anyone recently got a cheaper flight from Pittsburgh to Orlando? And if so, can you tell me what airline and how much?
I am trying to decide who/what/where/when for my trip in October, I have some days I can play with, but For almost the past 8 months I have not gotten anything lower than $79.00/each way. And every time I get dinged, they are usually sold out one way and I have to pay the $112.00 /one way price..So for a total of 176.00/person I know that is not bad, but when you are paying for 6 people..........

I don't think you are going to do much better than that. Southwest and USAirways are slugging it out but with fuel prices and the fact they don't fly as many planes as they used to I think you are getting a good price.

I think $79 each way is a great rate. Especially when you have 6 people travelling. I fly from PHL and the absolute rock bottom that I have seen is $49 each way on US Airways that was offered as a two day sale for dates in May and June of this year. To get those rates, we would have to have flown at 6:00 a.m. on a Wednesday. Now it seems like $69 each way seems to be about the best rate out there. I would assume it is slightly more expensive to fly from Pittsburgh.

As far as waiting for better fares, you have to decide what is important to you. Are you travelling with very young children? Are you willing to fly at the crack of dawn or late at night? Are your times and dates at all flexible? Do all 6 of you want to sit together? If I were you, I would book at the $79 each way, especially if you are getting the times and dates you want.

I live in Pittsburgh and would jump at $179. I've been watching for late November, USAir has been around $209, Air Tran is close to $300. SW is not available yet but I don't want to fly them with their early return time. I paid $201 for Air Tran last month.

I got $79.00 one way on Air Tran for our trip at the end of September. I thought that was a pretty good rate. USairways and SW were way more expensive, plus Air Tran had better flight times. For 5 of us it came out to about $885.00.

Last december I got ATA for 54 Dollars each way for 6 people. This year in june I kept waiting for the price to come down. It never did. I ended up paying 79 dollars down and 109 coming back. The worst part about it was tha 6:45 departure time. This September I booked my flight out of BWI for 49 Dollars each way. Its about 4 and a half hours from my house but the Times were great and I enjoy the drive. The moral of the story is If I were you book 79 Dollars each way. At least you will have 1 less thing to plan. Wow this posting stuff is easy ...LOL

Yeah,,, I saw the ding, but I could not get the price commming back from Mco to Pitt, since the date I am going to come back is 10-09 or 10-10 possible...
Going down is not bad, it's commming back that the price is higher probably cause of the holiday...

I got a DING for $68 PIT to MCO, and my df's daughter got a 4th of July DING for $49. You had to fly on the 4th and there wasn't much notice, so I didn't take it.

Thanks, but they do not fit my dates, which are Oct 4-Oct 10th. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they release my dates in the next few weeks.. Thanks for all the info!

Just wanted to let you all know, that I finally got a GREAT rate on airtran for my trip down to Disney, it was $49.00! Yeah I am so excited! The sale ends on Oct5th, so I am now waitinng to see if the release more dates later on.. Just wanted to pass this along in case anyone is going to MCO in Sep-Oct...

$79 each way is pretty good. That’s what we just paid for our June 2005 trip.

We have done better, but it’s been tougher to do that recently. And Pittsburgh is lucky to have SWA now; that will keep the rates somewhat reasonable. I am hoping to do as well for our early December 2005 trip.
