Does anyone watch this? I know that Tia's man, AJ, is up for life in prison. His most recent arrest was for receiving stolen property, but what was he originally arrested for in 1992? It must have been something serious, and the show keeps it a big secret. Anyone know?

I'm not sure but I know that for every viewer for tonight's 10 pm (est) episode Animal Planet will donate money to animal rescue.

I'm kind of opposed to giving her money if she's using it to defend someone who's been convicted of really bad things.

The money goes to the non-profit rescue organization to help the dogs, not for private use to pay her husband's legal fees.

You don't think it pays her salary? You don't think she makes a good salary? Then, she pays for his legal fees. Did you see his legal counsel's house? Big house.

I don't know how the money is usually allocated, but they did say that the proceeds from tonight are going to the $37,000 vet bill they have. :headache:

Well, that's good. I watched it tonight, and that whole scene with "Thunder" looked completely staged. They just happened to find this dog under a bridge while a loud, dramatic storm was rolling in, and it just happened to be a pit bull? Oh, and they happened to have exactly one cage waiting for him in the van. Come on. It makes for good tv, but don't insult the viewers.

They had the empty cage because they had just dropped off the other dog, Cory, to his new home.

I agree it seemed staged, however, I think that about almost all reality shows. I was just watching Cake Boss and was  at how contrived it seemed.

I tried googling what the husband was originally in prison for and all I saw was one unreliable source saying it was a shoot out with police. At any rate, I wish Tina the best with the dogs and the parolees. Working with animals is a great method of rehabilitation.

I spent some time looking for some truth about these people.:confused3 But it was really easy with Google when I didn't thin:dance3:k too hard.:rolleyes1 Look at the bio on her at the official website animal.discovery.com/tv/pitbulls-and-parolees/bios/tia.html . as well as, a news report at the MSNBC website today.msnbc.msn.com/id/32406259/.../today-today_pets_and_animals/ . He did his time in prison but it sounds like he's being railroaded now for a 3rd offense. :sad1:
