Looking for some info on the scavenger hunt in Adventureland: Pirates: A treasure of the seven seas

I was wondering how long it takes, does it cost $$? I am considering doing this on an MK evening ... I'm hoping to break MK into a bunch of 1/2 days as to not tire my kids out or overwhelm them. I thought this would be a great way to tackle adventureland in an evening .... thoughts?

It is only from the Jungle cruise to the POTC ride that the areas you have to go to are found, so not all of adventurland is included. The evening is a great time as you have to walk back a forth through the crowds so later is less busy. Also, it is no fun to wait in line to swipe your band after seeing what happened from the person in front of you who is on the same adventure.

No cost to do it. The lines are usually not long. There are a few different adventures, so the kids might like to do 2 of them in one night. My son enjoys doing the adventures, but they are pretty short, don't expect them to take a big part of your time. Give it a shot I say.

THe fact that it is short is a bonus. My kids are young and usually in bed by 8pm, so this seems like a nice evening thing to do. Along with the POTC and Aladdin RIde, it will make a fun evening (I hope). Thanks for the info!

Wow ! That sounds like fun ! !

I found this great information about this on the Disney Site.

A Pirate’s Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas -
In this interactive game, guests use a pirate map and magic talisman to help them complete five different pirate raids throughout Adventureland. Based on the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, this game features characters including Jack Sparrow and Hector Barbossa.

*Aspiring marauders can enlist in this activity during the operating hours of Adventureland.
*The magic talisman is a special card specific for the activity and can be found at The Crow’s Nest in Adventureland.
*Each of the 5 missions take around 20 minutes to complete in full.
*Missions have no time limit. In addition, you can stop and re-start each raid at your leisure throughout the day.

The Crow's Nest- Located just past Pirates of the Caribbean

Any tips about this or is it self explanatory ?

The magic talisman is now your magic band or ticket media. It's a basic scavenger hunt type thing. The map shows you where to go. The audio clues will tell you what to look for. It is fun if other people aren't actively playing it ( that is you are waiting in line like for SOTMK) and if there are bystanders who end up surprised with moving bushes, tikis, or other effects.

So, we don't have to get a card ?
Just use our Magic Band ?
Do we just get a map at the Crows Nest and just proceed from there ?

Yes, just go to the recruitment center to register your Magicband and get a map. There are 5 maps in all. My DS and I spent one summer evening doing all 5. Adventure land was empty and he had a blast! You can keep the maps as souvenirs. It's really fun!

My nephew did this last year and he loved it (he was 5). It was his favorite part of the trip and he talks about it till this day. Must do!

Can you do it during EMH? I may do it with my middle while my oldest rides Splash and BTMRR over and over.
