Pirates & Princess Party

Has anyone heard if the Pirates and Princess Party is making a comeback next year? I really hope so, because my 5 yr old DD would love it.

I can't imagine they would. They are having enough troubles filling the parks so I can't see them having a party that doesn't sell out in the best of situations. It stinks though because I love P&PP.

Everytime I see a new thread asking about this party, I feel a little sad knowing it's gone indefinitely. We went to two of them and enjoyed them very much. I haven't heard any rumors about it returning, at least not yet. We can wish!!

Considering it was cancelled in 2008 for low attendence and not brought back for 2009, I doubt they will ever come back. Personally I am happy it's gone because I didn't like it when the Magic Kingdom would close at 7:00 PM during the summer months for this party to happen.

I loved the Pirate & Princess parties and hope they do come back at some point. The fireworks were awesome.

We went to one in 2008 and will miss it. My kids and I had such a fabulous time that night collecting beads, dancing and riding rides with no lines.

We enjoyed it, too. I wish they would come back, but I agree they won't do it if they don't get lots of people to attend. That's why we liked it so much- low crowds. If enough people bought tickets to make it profitable, then we may find it too crowded.

I do understand how people get irritated when the parties run just about every night, so Wishes is hardly ever shown during a trip. But I personally wouldn't work myself up over the MK closing at 7:00 two nights per week. I guess that's because we usually go in January when it closes pretty early anyway, so we are just used to it. We would usually plan on doing night at MK on a Spectro night, which, itself, is only a couple of times a week, and wouldn't be on a party night.

My DD would LOVE for this to come back. She's not into princesses. But we bought the Events CD, which has the P&PP music on it.

My only regret is that DH and I were there for our 10th anniversary. The P&PP party was happening on one of our nights. If I had known they were going to cancel it, I would've insisted we go.

I absolutely LOVED the P&PP last year! I thought that was the best parade ever! First time I've ever stood and looked up at the princesses on the floats and wanted to be one so bad I almost cried...a 36 year old princess. I did war a tiara to the party though!

We're going to our first MVMCP this year. Wonder if I can wear my tiara to that?.....no, seriously...could I??

Totally a fan of the P&PP! I was bummed that it didn't come back this year...it would be an awesome thing to take my Senior Spring Break to Disney for this.
