Pirates of the Carribean

Feel ilke I should know who Jack Sparrow is, but I don't :confused3

Have you not seen any of the Pirates of Caribbean movies? He's the lead character, played by Johnny Depp.

Ah ok...nope, never saw it (nor DH or DS), and thus, not knowing who he is.
But I have seen the posted picture before, I guess from ads. :goodvibes

Well, sounds like it's still worthwhile. Thank you all.

It's funny now that I think about back in the day when I'd go to MK with my folks we had a 1 souvenir per day at MK rule. Thats 6 days total. Of those 6 days I bought the plastic hook hand, a pirate sword, a pirate hat and a wooden cap gun. So 2/3 of my childhood MK souvenir choices were made at Pirates.

As a little 5 year old girl, I LOVED this ride. Yes, I was the Barbie/Princess girl, but I loved the sense of adventure in Pirates of the Caribbean. Take your girl on it.

It's one of our two favorite rides, the other being HM. We ride it multiple times every trip. It's definitely a must do, lol.

Same here. Those are my two favs in that park, and all time.

My question would have to be... why wouldn't he like it? It's a Disney ride, it's a classic. There isn't anything really scarey about it. It is however, pretty funny, especially the pirate with his hairy leg hanging over the bridge that you go under. I took my kids on it years ago when they were 6 and 8, they both loved it, as did I at 35.

He will love it! My kids were both so much younger the first time they rode it. :goodvibes

Here are more replies from the same question you posted today..........

Yes sorry. I apologize. I snuck in a read of Disney boards at work...saw another post about POC and so wanted to know more (as the post made the ride seem different than I thought it was). Totally forgot that I had already asked this as I didn't have my notes. Sorry about that.

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my favourite rides at Magic Kingdom. I love the authentic pirate decor and the "arrghh matey" pirate: feel of the ride. I felt like I was literally in part of one of the movies the last time I had the pleasure of riding it-especially since they've updated one of the characters to resemble Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). I think it would be a great ride for a 9 year old boy since the boat moves rather slowly and the pirates throughout the ride are not too scary but just scary enough to make it enjoyable and realistic.

This is a must do for everyone. One of the more original concepts. This ride actually inspired the movie series!!! The ride was first (some people dont even realize this, lol).

This ride is great, we've taken my daughter on it since age 2 and she has a blast. It is not scary nor is it a better "boy fit" (not even sure what that means exactly, girls like pirate stuff too :confused3 )

I would 100% plan to take BOTH of your kids on the ride. Its a boat ride that floats through fun scenes of pirate adventures. It is really not to be missed.
