Pirates of the Carriabien

It has mostly several turns, but does have a mild drop--nothing my 63 yo (at that time) mother couldn't handle.

A couple of very small drops, nothing too bad! All in all, and very amusing ride! One of our favorites!

I think the above posters may be confused with the Disneyland version.

There's ONE and only one very mild "drop" in the WDW PotC.

(There are TWO steeper drops at Disneyland version.)

You don't wear even a seat belt the drop is so small.

The rest of the ride is all individual scenes that tell the story of pirates who ransack and burn a Carribbean town in long-ago times.

Not a THRIIL RIDE, but sort of a realistic "movie" seen as your boat passes by.

There is only 1 drop in the WDW version. It's about a 14 foot drop. I don't normally like drop rides, but this one doesn't bother me. I might even go on it in February! LOL.

There's just one eensy little drop, nothing scary or intense, just enjoyable!!!

As said above, the drop is small - and the obvious fact that you have no seatbeat makes it pretty clear that it is nothing.

I did not know of this drop my first time on it and it was nothing at all - I promise. And I hate drops.

I just read on Mouseplanet that Pirates will close from May-September for refurb...

It's also pretty dark before/during the drop, and 'dead men tell no tales' is creepy. It freaked my niece out when she was little.
