There's ONE and only one very mild "drop" in the WDW PotC. (There are TWO steeper drops at Disneyland version.) You don't wear even a seat belt the drop is so small. The rest of the ride is all individual scenes that tell the story of pirates who ransack and burn a Carribbean town in long-ago times. Not a THRIIL RIDE, but sort of a realistic "movie" seen as your boat passes by.

I did not know of this drop my first time on it and it was nothing at all - I promise. And I hate drops.
