Great film We went to see this today - lovely and air conditioned

The little references to the ride were good and some of the scenes looked just like the ride. Jonny Depp was a brilliant pirate.

Anybody else seen it??

Brilliant isn't it!!

We saw it about a month ago ( DON'T ask how !! ).......and went to the cinema to see it on Friday.

You could tell the Disney fans ...they kept nudging each other when the bits from the rides came on !!!

I won't mention any, it'll only be a spoiler.........but the film stands on its own as an excellent movie!!


...............and was Johnny Depp more camp than Kenneth Williams or what!!

We went to see it today.

What can I say it was absolutely fab. I am not a great Johnny Depp fan but as Jack Sparrow, sorry Captain Jack Sparrow is was wonderful.

The theatre was lovely and air conditioned and I stuffed my face on ice cream.

If you get a chance to see it I thoroughly recommend it.

Yes, we saw it a couple of weeks ago - in Whistler (Canada)! I couldn't resist a bit of 'name-dropping' there !

Johnny Depp was fantastic, wasn't he? We thought there was a touch of Marc Bolan and Adam Ant in there somewhere!

We all thought it was a great film, with Captain Jack Sparrow being the icing on the cake.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was very good,I really enjoyed it

I thought Johnny Depp was funny,so camp.I thougght it was shades of Tommy Cooper I could see/hear in his acting

saw it last week thought it was fabulous. Just love Jonny Depp and and how gorg is Orlando Bloom. I was really pleased that the film was wuite true to the ride, down to the torn sails on the Black Pearl. I have heard they have made a film based on The Haunted Mansion, anyone knoe any more than that.?

POTC - great film...saw it last week, I thought Johnny Depp was great - Jack Sparrow was a real 'character' in every sense I had a lot of fun picking up all the references to the ride

Not sure when HM is due out, sometime in the Autumn I think...the only thing I've heard about it is that it stars Eddie Murphy.

Nicky I think HM is out in the US in November - but I read somewhere yesterday that they are putting some of the set's in to Disney Studios where the Dalmation set's were as a walk through attraction They should be there by October

There's already a film out about HM, it's quite old tho' saw it on Five earlier this year. It was filmed in HM - tells you during the credits - I really enjoyed it, unfortunately I can't remember who was in it or what it was called but the story line was good.

Dozzie, are you sure it was the Haunted Mansion? I've seen a film about the Tower of Terror, which is good fun if a little cheesy, but re-enacting the story of all the people who disappeared in the lift one mysterious night 40-odd (or how ever many years it was) years ago....
