Is Pirates of the Caribbean open for the Easter break? I read it was being renovated.

I think it will be open again for a little while and will then close again for more changes and will open for the release of the movie in july

We were there 04/06 to 04/14 and it was open. I thought it was supposed to be closed until July and didn't plan to go over there but my husband asked and it was open so we got to enjoy it. I suggest you ask a cast member when you get there. Have fun.

According to the calendar on disneyworld.com, it is closing again 5/1!! HTH!

Yes, It reopened the begining of April and will remain open through April 30. It will be closed again May 1- June 30 (reopening on July 1). Don't expect to see many ride changes though. In order to reopen mid way through they did the cosmetic and ride system rehab first and they will do the ride changes *new animitronics, etc) during the second portion of the rehab.

Only had a 10 minute wait on Wed April 12th. It is supposed to be open until April 30th. I didn't see any changes either.

Woo Hoo! We are getting there 4/30 at about 6pm to WL. Gonna check in and run right over to MK It's open till 1am and ride it for ONE last time. I'm not looking forward to the changes I am looking forward to one last ride.

What changes are planned for POC?

Captains Jack Sparrow and Barbossa will be inserted into the ride at various points to make it appear like they had always been a part of the ride, plus a few other changes incorporating elements from the movies into the ride that inspired them.
