Disney, filmakers along with myself are surprised how people think Mermaids and Sirens are the same thing. As most know by now, there will be mermaids in the next Pirate film. NOOOOO one from Disney has ever called them Sirens. In many of the back stories of Pirates, mermaids and Sirens are mentioned having a relationship and how one services the other.
