Pirates of the Caribbean...do you get wet now??

We were there in March and rode POC many times. We were all over the boat, though never in the front row. None of us got wet ever, other than a few light splashes. We expected the worst....got the best

So glad this question was brought up. We went to disney in Dec but never went on POC. Nothing like soaked shoes and soggy clothes in cool weather, so we didn't want to chance it. We didn't make a FP, but had plans to chance it during out May trip.

We got very wet in the front row and our family is thin. We didn't get a bit wet in any other row.

We didn't on March 1, 2016, but I did notice the floor of our boat was wet.

No wetness to report from our trip 4/8 - 4/16. I even checked the bottoms of the boats getting in and getting out. Nothing more than little splashes.

One of my sons has sensory issues, he doesn't mind getting a little wet but doesn't want to be soaked! We rode this a few years back and you didn't get wet, I've was reading that now you will, is this true???

Don't sit in the front row - we got soaked.

We were there Jan. 30-Feb. 4 of this year.

Rode this morning in the second row and we did not get wet. No water in the bottom of our boat or the one right before us.

We rode this about four times during our April trip, and got significantly wet three times! We were never in the front. Soon after the drop, there is the scene with firing canons. We just always ended up on the side where they hit the water, causing quite a splash. Now, I'm not talking wet like Splash Mountain, but it was definitely noticeable, and caused us to take cover for our other ventures through this ride. My husband rode it separately a few times, and swore he never got wet. I would try to get your son in the middle of the row, just in case.

I've never gotten splashed on the drop, only where the cannons are. I've gotten soaked a few times with some unlucky timing with them.

My DS dislikes being wet as well due to sensory issues. We always carry a full change of clothes for him because you just never know. We have never done Kali but he will do Splash and then change right after getting off. Make sure you watch out for the surprise squirting things like the camels near the carpets, the tiki statues, and the sea captain's grave in the HM queue. The last one got him in the foot in March. He was bawling but we quickly changed his sock and all was right again.
