Looks like POTC 2 is scheduled to be released 7/JULY/2006.

As it so happens, our Eastern cruise is the very next day. Can someone tell me how quickly Disney movies appear in the BV theater after their release date? I think it would be SOOOO cool to see POTC 2 onboard while in the caribbean

Disney films almost always appear on the ships the same day they appear in the theaters.

If it is a big movie, they will even show it in the Walt Disney Theater rather than the Buena Vista Theater

We were on the Wonder last June when "Around the World in 80 Days" premiered. There was a special "Prem-Ear" showing at 12:01 AM in the Walt Disney Theater on premiere day. So, those on the Wonder/Magic are literally among the first in the world to see new Disney movies!

Do you think it will be prem-earing at all on the 7/3 Wonder cruise? That would be sooo awesome. I never get to go to movies in real life, so seeing this on the cruise would be the best. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until it hits DVD.

On our cruise (april 23) they had a prem-ear event for "A Lot Like Love". I would bet big money that they would be showing POC2 on your cruise. Heck, the cruise before you might even get to see it.

Besides, it's just so gosh darn appropriate.

I noticed in the link above with release dates that Sweden actually gets the movie first. I'm going to have to call my peeps in Sweden and see what's up with that. Maybe we'll make a trip over.
