Someone told me that the Pirates of Carribean was being rehabbed and Johnny Depp as Captain Jack was some how being part of the ride. Does anyone know if this is true? Maybe this should be on the rumors board, I am not sure where to post this. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Yes, I had heard the same thing. Captain Jack Sparrow will be incorporated into several scenes in Pirates. It's one of my favorite movies so I hope this all works well for Disney...I really hate how the ride ends at DW though so maybe they will change it?

From allearsnet.com:

Pirates of the Caribbean - will close the attraction in March to update the attraction to include characaters from the Movie Pirates of the Caribbean. Reopens July 7th. The attraction will feature the addition of two of Hollywood’s most infamous buccaneers, Captain Jack Sparrow and his nemesis Captain Barbossa. Joining the wildest crew that ever sacked the Spanish Main, Captain Jack and Barbossa add an exciting new twist to the attraction’s original storyline as they race to be the first to claim a cache of plundered treasure. The rival swashbucklers will be seen interacting with some of the more familiar Audio-Animatronics buccaneers found inside the ride-thru adventure. Also making a guest appearance is the ghostly Davy Jones from the second movie in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. But new characters are only the beginning. New special effects will also be added to enhance the “Pirates of the Caribbean” theme park experience.

There are also several other threads on this topic.

Thank you so much. I am glad you heard this too, because I could not find any information about it and only heard it from my 9 year old niece. Yes, a better ending would be great. I go in July so I hope it is finished by then. I love Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack....although he is great in all his movies.

Sorry, I'm still new at this posting stuff and posted the same reply twice.....Thank you for the info BobP, I will be arriving July 7th, so I will be right on time for the opening of PC. I'm so excited!
