The purpose of the Pirates of the Caribbean party is to have a good time, not stress out over what you are wearing. Some of us love dressing as pirates, arrrr go, we will be dressed like pirates. Some people love to dress Caribbean style, ergo, dress what makes you feel comfortable. The object is to have a good time.
Quick list of pirate type wear for those interested.
short cropped pants (capri's, cut up some old dockers, even old pj's bottoms cut off work great)
long gathered skirt with elastic style waist (broomsticks work great...Thrift store)
tunic style shirt (no buttons or zippers)
A quick way to make a tunic style shirt, take a button down shirt and sew it together eliminating the buttons. Remember, the shirts needs to be a little large to get on without buttons.
A bandana and a taste for rum and you are all set.
