Pirate's League Mermaid Package limited by age?

My TA is telling me that the mermaid package at PL is only available for girls under 12. Girls over 12 have to get the lady pirate package. That seems rather arbitrary to me and is not mentioned on the WDW website. Can someone confirm?

I booked the Mermaid package for myself for our MNSSHP day. And I am definitely over 12!

Maybe your TA is confused with the age limits at BBB.. BBB has an age limit of 12 years old.

Unless they have changed it 2 years ago dd and I did it. She was 13 and I was umm over 12 by a little.

Your TA needs to be re-educated. PL has no age limit. It's one of the fun things about it. You can see entire families getting made over.
