Pirates League age question?

I have two DS 6 and 10 who are signed up for the Pirates League. The 6 year old is all about it and cant wait. The 10 year old is excited but has reservations that it is only for "little kids" and is doing it because his little brother asked him too. Do older kids do Pirates League? He will be completely fine if he sees older kids participating.

My oldest DD did it last trip (7th grade). Mostly I was booking it for the two younger kids and was going to do something else with her, but she said she wanted to do it too. This trip she'll be starting HS and has mentioned that she may like to do it again.

We went to the pirate parade in the afternoon, so we saw a good sample of participants from that day. DD was probably one of the oldest "kids" there, but there were several adults who had also done the pirate makeover.


I think your DS will likely enjoy it and even if he thinks he's too "mature" for things like that normally, he has the benefit of pretending that he's doing it for his little brother. My oldest always says that she loves having younger siblings at Disney because they provide her with the perfect excuse to enjoy all of the "little kid" things.

My DS who was 11 at the time did it. He really enjoyed it.

When we go back , my DS(13 now) wants to do it again.
