A few questions...

Would an 11-year old boy who is into swords enjoy this show?

Do you have to purchase tickets in advance to get the best seats or is it just first come first serve on the day of the show?

How long is the whole show?

The show was very good and the whole night was about 2.5 hours. They bring you in to a snack buffet, the bar is open but they charge. Then you are sorted into groups and are given a pirate to cheer for during the show. My 9 year old loved it and we thought it was alot of fun. There are discounts available. I think I got mine from Kiss.com. Also check piratesdinneradventure.com.

You are seated first come, first served even with pre-purchased tickets. You check in with the hostess and they will seat you according to when you arrived, so better to get there earlier if you want to be closer. But since the theater is in the round, I don't think there are any bad seats. You also had the option of upgrading your seat. For an additional $5 per ticket, you would get front row seats around the pirate ship and your kids would be guaranteed to be part of the show.

I have 2 daughters, 10 and 7. They both loved the show. My oldest is pretty shy though and no way what so ever wanted to be in the show. So we didn't opt for the upgraded seating as I figured it would be a waste of money. But we were there early enough and were seated right behind the upgraded tables so they were good seats.

I would still purchase tickets in advance as you can get good deals. We got ours at Ticketmania. Adults were $30 and kids were $22.
