Pirates closed for refurb?

I was just try to set my FP+ for my trip at the end of April... WDW website is saying that Pirates of the Caribbean will be closed for a refurb... anyone have any info on this?

It's showing as closed for May 1st on my MDE too Really hoping it's updated, it's the only ride my DS5 is desperate to ride and I've heard that the addition of FP+ has made what used to be a reasonable standby queue much much longer so we were hoping to have an FP+ in place just in case (if standby is reasonable, we'll just move the FP+ to something else of course). We leave 5/2 and were planning on doing HS/Epcot our last day so if refurb really does have it closed 5/1 we'll have to really change our touring plans & ADRs.

This happened to us when we were getting ready to move back to PA from FL and wanted to get in all our favorites one more time before we moved and didn't know when we'd be back.
Big Thunder had been through a major refurb and was up and then it was down and then running again and then not. Seemed to go on like that for days. We finally gave up on riding it one more time.
Now we're scheduled to be down there May 2 and what do you want to bet that Pirates will be down??? What happened to doing this stuff during the slow seasons? Yeh, I know, there aren't any of those any more.

We will be there same timeframe and according to allears.net the ride is closed through April 30. If you really want to ride show up at the park at rope drop around 5/1 and you shouldn't have any problem (assuming the ride is open). Pirates has lots of ride capacity.

Thanks! 5/1 is actually an MK EMH morning so I'm hoping they rally and get it open We have 4 1/2 park days and are spending 2 afternoons and one additional full day at MK so hopefully we'll have plenty of time to get everything else done and this can be our goal for the day. The pirate tutorial and the pirate adventure will have to tide us over for the earlier part of the week
