Pirates are Coming - promotional game

Hi all!
I'm rather new to VMK, but I have been playing the "Pirates are Coming" game, found on another website- the one that gives you codes so you can win that pirate ship?
I just wanted to know if I"m the only one that finds it extremely frustrating. I'm on the last level, and it feels so impossible- one touch of the kraken (which follows so close behind) and you lose... and the ship is so slow and hard to steer.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It's so tedious. I want the whole ship now that I have most of the parts

Yeah, this game came out about this time last year, and EVERYONE seems to hate it. I haven't played it in forever, so I don't have any suggestions.

My suggestion is to have the kraken, pop up. Now usually you would run for your life at full speed, dont do this, slow down to 2 bars at the steady rate of the kraken. By doing this, the kraken does not feel it is being outrunned so it keeps following you. Once you come to a skull rock, dodge the fireballs aimed at your and sail torwards the rock, while your ship is doing this, shoot all your cannonballs at the kraken. After touching the rock, shoot the last 1-2 cannonballs at the kraken and it should disappear, it will take some time to strike again, which you can use to un-stick your ship from the skull rock and get a move on to your next destination. Even though you follow this, it is still frustrating to complete the last level, and I do agree that the prizes awarded are great, but it takes time and patience to obtain them.

seriously, i try and get to the skull i hit it and it takes forever for me to get back into full speed cause it bounces back and it takes forever, my friend said she did it like the fifth time or something i was like it's hard and she was like it's not so i don't know, maybe it comes easy to some people but not to me

You should shoot the Kraken 5 times as soon as it start to follow you. It takes a little time to recharge the cannon. Shoot the Kraken the last 2 times right after you run into the skull. That will give you the most time to start moving again. Others have suggested just grazing the skull so you don't stop completely.

have no clue if this is a bug or not, but a couple of times i played, the kraken would like get stuck. He is out of the water, sits there and doesn't move. Has that happen to anybody before?... It always makes the game a whole lot sweeter not to deal with it...lol

I believe it's a bug, and I agree is VERY helpful, it's happend to me probably about 10 times, as I have done with probably a couple hundred times. I do believe it's a bug, and for me he seems to get stuck at the southwest skull between the skull and main-land.

Yea, that game is really annoying. I just stopped it. Luckily, I didn't break down.
