Pirates and Pals or Private Fireworks Cruise

I try to do one special thing each trip. I was thinking this time we would do a fireworks cruise but can't decide between Pirates and pals or doing a private one. It wouldn't be much more from a cost perspective either way with our size group.

Thoughts?

What are the ages in your group? I would think that would be the deciding factor.

2 grandparents - a 5 year old and myself

They're very different. The private cruise is just the captain, you, and some snacks. It's quiet and relaxing. P&P is lively and the host we had was (thankfully) really funny. It was part cheesy stand-up and part sing-a-long. My boys were older and still loved it, and they loved devouring all the treats. If that doesn't sound like it would gel with the grandparents, then go for the private option. We enjoyed both, but if we did one again it would be P&P.
