DH and I are taking DS(2) next week for his first visit. As such, I'm so uncertain of what to expect with regard to DS's reactions, etc, so I have made plans, but have allowed for a LOT of flexibility (and plan B's and plan C's).
Taking that into consideration, we are debating whether or not to go to the Halloween party on the 23rd (if tickets are still available) or a Pirates and Pals cruise on the 25th. I don't think we can/should do both, primarily because that will be 2 very late nights for DS.
I'm not sure which DS would enjoy more at this point. I'm thinking that we can gauge his demeanor with regard to our activities the first couple of days, then cancel Pirates and Pals and book MNSSHP on the 23rd (or cancel the cruise and not book the party at all)?
So, for anyone that has done both with a younger child, what would you suggest if you had to choose?

The Pirates and Pals cruise was fun but most young kids were asleep before it was even over. I would personally save that for a child a little older.
